For anyone curious how to color / paint digitally without lineart just paint base colors under the sketch go over it and clean it up with chafes or highlights depending on the light source then if you like it before it’s done and it’s clear enough just clip the other layers to those 👍

Im not kidding when i say this might be the most gorgeous anime-style art piece ive seen (in my preference at least). The colours compliment eachother so well and the lineart omg. This seriously makes me wonder how many years of practice this took to get to this skill level.

I think it’s also because she’s well versed in painting, unlike most anime art which is cell shading and rendering, you can tell there’s a lot of painting and overpainting going on throughout the piece, something I think most anime artists don’t do. It’s a very unique take on the style.
