The Palu (and Rosa) player is a really good 16 year old boy that came out of nowhere and beat me in winner and grand finals two tournaments in a row, winning that game 3 - 0 was probably the best feeling I've had playing smash since forever. Omega Pirate I've seen tournaments where they use two switches. It's not farfetched, the possibility they use Local Wireless. Local Wireless I think, also disables the pause button.

I know you can set up a rule set where you can disable pausing. Much like you can also set up a best of 2 (up to 5) but I don't think many people really see those options, or they do but just want more control.
