Enfin je retrouve l interprétation sublime que j écoutais à 15 ans.. Dans le 1er mouvement l ivresse presque anxieuse du 1er violon est consolée par une 2eme voix que l on entend pratiquement jamais dans les versions modernes. Ce duo bien que bref crée une émotion intense

Menuhin plays Bach not the violin!! That is highest art, not the instrument is important, but the music. Thats the aim of every interpretor

I believe this is the Asian Youth Orchestra. (Lord) Yehudi Menuhin supported this and other youth orchestras, and often played with them and conducted them on their tours. I had the honor of interviewing him for the Japan Times when he was in Tokyo with the AYO.
