Yup...it’s freakin’ irritating for long time fans that he doesn’t get recognition for an insane catalog as consistent and versatile as his is. I don’t think there’s many artists that hear music the way he does and that’s why he’s a style all on his own. Worse than not getting recognition is seeing so many comments on social media when Lebron posted himself listening to Yela, questioning why Lebron would be listening to Yelawolf and he must be paying him for promotion. I don’t know why he has this reputation as being cheesy or not a real artist. It drives me insane as someone who’s followed every album, collaboration, and feature for over a decade. If you go through everyone on KZbin who’s reacted to his music, the number one word used is Cadence. To me that’s one of the highest compliments a hip hop/rap artist can get. I wish I would have gotten the notification you were going to review this album live. I would have loved to be in on the conversation because there’s a lot in the bars to point out. He’s why I became a Patreon and will continue as one. I really appreciate your continued support of his music and love how real you are in your reactions ♥️♥️

I remember when I stumbled upon Trunk Muzik 0-60 from yelawolf in 2010 and was so amazed by the quality of his music (by then already). It sounded like a totally new genre, while still being true to hiphop. It is funny to see how he changed over the decade. For example he was almost with no tattoos (check out the song Kickin') and dressed baggy. Later he really found his own style. Go check out his xxl freshman cypher too, I believe with Kendrick on it as well, from 2011. Oh and there are not many artists that sound totally the same on record and stage. Yela does. It's baffling.

I saw where you did the tool reaction and was talking about the psychedelic mindset; basically when yela said 3rd eye visuals he is referring to psychedelics also. That's what a lot of people call it; tapping into your third eye visuals.

31:20 when you were talking about people comparing Eminem and Yela, that happened when he first got signed. I believe that’s why his first album for shady “flopped” as one would say. I personally think it’s a brilliant album myself!

I also think that Radioactive was interfered with too much to include more rock sounding songs. Yela has spoke about this before, but not sure how much of an impact it had on that album. It's the only album I never really listened to. Everything else he has ever done though has been absolute fire (probably Radioactive too, if I gave it a fair listen)!

@@Sainte305 bro! You have to listen to that album, it basically shaped the way his next releases panned out if you ask me. “Write your name” is a vibe and a good song to start with. “Growin up in the gutter” also.

@@Sainte305 you’ll love it if you give it a good go man. There’s so many good songs on there. I didn’t really fuck with Yela until I found out he was the reason RITTZ got put on, then I was like bet!

@@Beau1990 I agree with everything you said about Radioactive. I know Yela has his feelings about it but there’s so many fire songs on there. I can never skip Radio when it comes on my shuffle.
