I was not prepared for how beautiful your letters would turn out. I love the idea of using floral decoupage napkins and then adding paint and stamping with subtle markings. I was going to use Scrapbook papers but your ideas look so much more creative and fun. Absolutely stunning and totally inspirational. I can't wait to see what else you do.

I love this video! I have purchased several letters, some wood & some like yours. They will make great gifts and don't take weeks to complete. I really like the paint technique you did. It made the pattern of the napkin really pop and it looks so much better than if you had left it plain. I'm so glad you will be doing more videos because I love your work.

The letters have come out really lovely, I loved the way you did the blending/ shading, took the whole project to another level. I tried my hand at decoupage, did some coasters and a box. But the coasters are sticking to each other even after a week of drying after applying aquadur varnish. Do you know of any solution to this, some way I can fix it, at least in the next project I do? I decoupaged one side of the coasters with napkin and just painted the other side with fevicryl acrylic colors.

Decoupaged products get sticky/tacky sometimes for the following reasons 1. One has used too much product. i.e. too much basecoat, paint, glue, thick paper, varnish etc. Always apply thin, even coats. The layers buildup and can get tacky if there is too much product used overall 2. One has only used Mod Podge or Decoupage glue as final coat. After a layer of Mod Podge, I use a layer of wood varnish as a final top coat layer. I prefer using Asian Paints Aquadur. It dries fast, its odourless and waterbased. You could use any wood varnish. This top coat will ensure the product is water, fade and heat resistant 3. One has to allow the product to cure after varnish. So between coats please allow a few days for it to completely dry and cure. If this step is skipped or hurried, the products get very tacky. Hope this helps! Good luck. Divya.

Hi These letters look so pretty! I love the blending of paint technique but is it possible to show this in real time even if its just a small part?I would really like to try it.I noticed in video that the bristles on your brush were out of shape as i presume its the way you apply the paint.TFS and look forward to more videos.
@yellingyellow7 жыл бұрын
Hi Helen, thank you for your feedback. I had that idea too, I will show blending in real time in one of my new projects. Also will work on the camera angle and try to zoom in. The brush, yes, i could still use it for blending, but that shape is gone. a sponge dabber will help.
