Hello, Tanner! I am going to lean on you plenty from now on. Going to my field session tomorrow to get certified. My daughter is a referee and loves it. I coach but have taught myself everything about the game and being ref will help me with coaching, I believe. So many decisions! Keep putting out content especially videos depicting these rules. All the best!!

Great video tanner! Here’s a video idea for you... what types of fouls can lead to a cautionable offense under unsporting behavior, another idea is the technology currently used by soccer referees (ex: coms, beeper flags, VAR, GLT, etc.). Keep up the great work!!!

Thank you! I will make both of those videos in the near future!

Great video!! I have two suggestions for new videos you could make: 1/ pre-game responsibilities for a ref and 2/ one about whistle basics and comparing different whistles

Thank you for your support! I have been working on both of these videos, so I should have them out later this year!

Perfect explanation and I hate that when us as referees when we try to communicate and explain the call in a civilized way and in a calm demeanor they (players) think they can just talk to you however they want. I’ve given more yellows for descent than what I have for fouls. That just shows you where the state of the sport is at. The fact that we have to raise our voice and break out of character just so they can finally understand is insane. It drives me nuts especially when dealing with Hispanics/Latinos they’re wild

Tanner awesome video,I have a video idea do a ref cam in a game when you ref
@tannertrout2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the idea! Wearing cameras is prohibited for referees per the LOTG, however, I could do it provided I get approval from some other individuals!

need a better video for caution on Calvert it appears... for leave/enter/reenter...plus, as part of an attack, a player sometimes steps off the pitch over goal line to make sure being in an offside position is not involved in a scoring opportunity.

Yellow cards are just warning, that’s lame , there should be a consequence as well like change of ball possession.

Does dogso goals count even though they didnt cross the goal line?
@petegriff33432 жыл бұрын
DOGSO would only count as a goal if the ball goes over the line. If the ball did not cross the line, a direct free kick is awarded from the location of the offense... penalty if the offense occurred inside the 18 yard box.

Football not soccer

It’s called soccer in the states. Pretty sure most of us in countries who call it football don’t need a yellow and red card explained so this is for fans who are newer to the sport. Who cares what it’s called as long as it’s being played. Football is already another game in the states.

eHh iTz f0otBaLl iTs nOt s0cKeR. It was soccer before it was football and a lot of the world called it soccer up until the 80s and they decided to start calling it football and they stopped calling it soccer. Soccer is the one thing that the Americans have never and probably will never dominate so you think Americans should follow you for a change and call it what you call it. It’s never going to happen because to Americans it’s not football. Give it a rest! Just relish in the moment every time the USMNT don’t even make it out of the group stages of a tournament
