very important! When uploading code to esp32 with Arduino, make sure that there is no code installed on Arduino that uses RX and TX connections. It is best to first upload a simple blink code to Arduino, then upload the code to esp32 using Arduino.

Could you please help me? I followed the same steps, but I keep getting this error message. Device is busy or does not respond. Your options: - wait until it completes current work; - use Ctrl+C to interrupt current work; - reset the device and try again; - check connection properties; - make sure the device has suitable MicroPython / CircuitPython / firmware; - make sure the device is not in bootloader mode.

This worked for me. However I am sometime stuck in “connecting……” while program uploading. The workaround is that I need to press the reset button once as soon as the message is “connecting….”.

Are you using FTDI to upload the sketch? If so, then use 5v instead of 3v. Set jumper on FTDI to 5v and connect FTDI vcc to ESP32 cam's 5v. You don't have to press reset button to upload. Just wait. If will upload by itself. Also put some fan behind it. 5v generate a lot of heat to it. Make sure 5v goes into 5v pin. Wrong connection will fry your camera.

i dont have programmer on the list, i have parallel programmer available, im going with that. after fucking around with tut after tut for over 4 hours to set this thing up, im smashing the esp 32 in to a million pieces. and ive also done some arduinoing, so im not a complete beginner but this thing is driving me fuckin crazy and i have other things to do

well heres an update, following this part of your tutorials after your first one, i finally got it to work. you have many different settings on this video from the previous video that you made. to put it bluntly, your first tutorial on this subject is fucked up and you should put a note on that video to come to this one to fix your fuckups in the first one. until then i will thumbs down your first video, its only fair
