Once Upon a Time in the Wild West marks the following: 1) The sixteenth journey-based expedition event of Homescapes, after Wood Estate Mystery, Halloween Nightmare, Winter Adventure, Mysteries of Atlantis, Lost Island, Mysterious Festival, Tortuga Island, Butler’s Peak, Austin, Magic, and Dragons, Secrets of Area 551, Ice Age, Chocolate Factory, Rescue Chloe, Innesport Mystery and Desert Tales. 2) The second journey-based expedition event to feature a sidekick for Austin that is not part of the main storyline and HomeSpace, after Innesport Mystery. 3) The direct continuation of Ice Age, as Mason redeems himself and got released from prison sometime after the November 2023 update. Atop of these milestones, this journey-based expedition reveals that Mason has a villainous sister, Lou. In the addition, he has a arch enemy, Doctor Shadow, who previously appear as a main antagonist of The Spy and The Butler redesign, as well as Chocolate Factory and Innesport Mystery journey-based expeditions
