I think the north loop was closed when i when also because i saw all the same stuff. when i went it was like 2007 and there was a massive pine beatle infestation and many of the trees looked like they were dying. i see may of the trees looked long dead in the video and large areas were left unplanted. that is sad.

Yeah I believe the major attraction In North loop is Mammoth hot springs but the south had so much to see and atleast old faithful there. They did mention that if a wild fire occurs they let it burn naturally to a certain point before they decide to get involved. It was a nice park though alot of interesting stuff.
