I watched two commercials to then watch a video that has no clue what will happen with the last half of Yellowstone's season 5. All of Taylor Sheridan's projects including Yellowstone have fallen apart, which happened before the writers strike. This is mostly to do with Sheridan and not Costner.

Can’t blame Kevin either they all knew he had a project and Taylor in the middle of making his 50 shows decided to flex his power that worked out well. If he kills of Dutton no one will watch his spinoffs with maybe the prequels as exceptions and he’s behind on them. Hell Kevin’s movies are over and he could go back to being John except I think Kevin thinks very little of a man tossing his weight around while he’s going through a divorce over the show

Taylor Sheridan easiest fix to losing KC was to move Josh Lucas (the younger JD) to the main role.....I don't understand why this wasn't considered. The YS fanbase were already used to JL playing the patriarch role, he would have been the perfect fix to that dilemma and the show could have continued ON SCHEDULE with their planned ending. Ultimately giving the FANS the ending it deserved, not this rushed and changed up version we'll be getting.

What I know is that we only got to see half of season 5 and part 2 wasnt released later that year because of this brouhaha. Then I read because of his scheduling demands there had to be a reshoot of some episodes.... so the bottom line is KC's abrupt wanting to leave to work on his own stuff ruined the timing of YS.

"I seriously doubt that everyone will make it thru to the end of the season alive" LMAO But seriously, remember in 1883, James Dutton makes a promise to the local natives, that in the 7th generation of his family, he promises to give the land back to the natives. This would mean that Tate's son will give it back to the natives at some point in his life. Someone needs to remind the chief of the current natives, that this will promise will be fulfilled and that Tate's son/daughter will be the 7th generation. Tate is 1/2 native, should he choose to marry a native girl, their son/daughter will be 3/4 native. I can see that kid giving the land back to the natives for sure. This could unite the natives now with the Dutton family, against the war of hitmen that Jamie is about to unleash on the Dutton family. I mean if there is no heir left to fulfill this promise, the next owners won't honor that promise, so it's in the current natives best interest, to keep the Duttons alive, especially Tate and his father. Take Jamie to the train station. lol

Costner delayed the production of his next project (at a cost of $10million) to film Yellowstone and then it was delayed, by the writers strike anyway. Sheridan is now not prepared to compensate him for the cost of that delay or meet him half way I get the impression there was more to it than that, like Sheridan wouldn't release KC early to work on his new show hoping that the writers strike would be over quickly, or something. But in any case, KC lost money and he blames Sheridan. Now he has to lose more money and delay his project further, and Sheridan is basically saying, "I don't care! It sucks to be you!"" So, KC would like to finish it, but he is not sure he wants to just burn money to do it. It just seems Sheridan is just really a bit of a miser when it comes to money. It is more important than relationships. So he tends to rub artists up the wrong way pretty easily and he isn't much of a team player. Typical for a lot of the rich and richer crowd these days.

I have pretty much written off that Yellowstone has ended and moved on. Even though I checked this video out. Always ends with the same answer to my question. Is Yellowstone going to be finished? So much speculation and no actual facts it sounds like. Strike or no strike there should never have been this long of a break. Not only have people/ fans forgotten the storyline but along with the drama and the unnecessarily long break I hope they lose a lot of their fan base. I know I probably won't lose any sleep if I miss the last episodes. Not saying it wasn't a good show but to much drama and baggage attached to the series. They shouldn't expect everyone to wait so long because they can't get their characters in line. Don't put the blame on the strike. Even after the strike is long since over they are still taking their time with the remaining final episodes. Come on already, get with it.

I don't disagree with Kevin Costner. If people are honest they would recognise that Sheridan used the last two seasons (4 and 5) interjected with parts of the show making himself to look like "super cowboy" ; with the entire Yellowstone cast often looking on with "sheer amazement". This included sending Jimmy (character) off to the 6666 ranch - "to make him into a real cowboy". Is it any surprise that Sheridan also owns that ranch. So increasing elements of the show were being put in just to make Sheridan look good ....... Awesome opportunities for the spin-offs created ...... but Sheridan quickly turned great shows into a shit-show. Too bad

I don't think it matters all that much if Costner comes back or not. All the characters are strong enough to carry the story. I find it fishy that Costner waited until now to start filming his "pet" project that he supposedly has been planning for over 10 years. Kill him off and move on.
