Quite ironic that the beautiful sport promotes equality and non-racism and here we are in Asia being a bunch of backward racist assholes who frowns upon the idea of half-blood players. Caven Dish Lol lets face reality. If any of our half players were good enough to play for their country of birth then they would have. Look at David Alaba. But overall I am glad they are playing for us as they helped inspire local players. When they helped us reach semifinals in the Suzuki Cup in 2010 they created a football boom and more kids started playing football. Around 2022 our national team will be composed of pure filipino players who were inspired by our players today

But consider this; Woodland already played for the national youth teams of England and Ramsay was just waiting to be called up by the Socceroos, but they still chose to play for us. They changed their sporting nationality (which you can only change once) to the Philippines so any chance of them getting called up by their respective countries of birth has now been nullified. We really need to lose this "pure Filipinos only" mindset. It's utterly disgusting and has no place in the 21st century. We're a country which allows dual citizenship, for crying out loud! I come from the Visayas where football is king, and people from my place hardly cares about this half-Pinoy vs. pure Pinoy banter; it's a non-issue. We're getting the best available players to play for us and that's what should matter the most. Also pure Filipino is such a funny term. If we're talking pure in the truest sense of the word, then the pure Filipinos are the Aetas, Manobos, Ifugaos, Ivatans, pretty much any "ethnic" Filipino tribes. How are you so sure you're "pure" Filipino yourself?
