unpopular opinion: it is if it's without them asking about/after me - i.e. it's just a bad sign if someone chasing you never asks after/about you, but constantly talks about themselves. then that's a problem, i feel.

This kind of false feminist mindset most girls have in recent years is confusing. They would want to be treated as equals yet require men to treat them like princesses and when they are not pleased would resort to insulting men in general...As a woman and a feminist, I feel sorry for a lot of men and hope you all wouldn't think this is what feminism is about. ANY relationship, whether it's romantic or friendship, will not be successful if both parties don't respect the other. Where I come from, a man confessing their affections and doing nice things to please their romantic interest is called courting. Boys, when courting a girl, please do not forget her boundaries. Girls, if you do not like the guy, tell him straight out and don't let him waste his time and efforts on you. Know when things need to stop.

I think the issue here is that girls find it difficult to break it to them that they arent interested. Its not as easy as they have to make sure no hard feelings and some guys dont take rejection easily. Men cant handle rejection from women.
@zdzislaw_sedsinski
@zdzislaw_sedsinski Жыл бұрын
@@cbgh4637 Doesn't matter whether it is difficult or not though, everyone takes rejection differently, but not telling them is the last thing you want to do. Like most things, you still have to do it even if it is difficult, since the alternative is letting it fester and become an even more difficult problem. P.s. sometimes it isn't even a problem at first if you tell them ASAP, it's when you don't tell the other person, waste each other's time and lead them on, that it becomes a problem.

Ok, I’m already married and met my husband from a dating app. Honestly, the more you date, the more you realise a guy who genuinely likes you, will show it. It’s really obvious, you don’t have to wonder and play mind games. You can be with a guy for years, and still not end up together.

Communication is a problem globally, not just in Singapore, when it comes to dating. Seriously. Stories of breakups that I've personally heard is due to the lack of communication as well as trust. It's impossible to expect your partner to understand you 100% even if y'all are dating for a long time already and you can't stop your partner from socializing with others so why not talk it out, set boundaries and just be direct? And why are they blaming dating apps? It's not like the apps control the things you say and do...

frankly speaking, a lot of us guys may say that we won't date these girls, but in reality, who will know whether or not these girls are like that until we start dating them? when we first see them, we instantly start going for them because of the looks, we never think so much about whether or not they are intellectually stimulating until it is too late.

In straight relationships, I feel like with dating apps, the disappointment is front-loaded for guys because women get more matches, but then back-loaded for women because when they do on dates, it might not be a great experience. It's production line rejection, a rejection factory.

I would think that it should be well known that people speak to multiple people. What is horrible is when they are and they lie and say, "I'm only talking to you". If a person hasn't told you that he likes you then you dip out first. Someone who truly likes you will not leave you guessing. If a guy that you like keeps you guessing it's because you are an option if the girl that he sees as his main says no or makes him mad, then he can fall back on you. I'm a Sailor and all I have to say is all that cursing shows that they have limited vocabulary.

What i can say that dating games is part of something bigger, that what it is suppose to be, first n foremost dating app is like switching friends and flirting games, and if it is taken correctly, u cant just jump into someone instantly, thats spell danger..relationship involve 2 heads and 2 heads getting to know each other seriously n ignore the rest, where else flirting is just a one off thing.

I think they did an analysis and found something like 80% of the women chose 20% of the men. Whereas the men were not as selective. What that means is the male 20%, having too many choices, had to juggle and reject women, which made the women feel like they were being treated poorly and rejected for poor reasons. These women then wanted to give the male 80% a taste of their "own" medicine and became very toxic. The first was by circumstance and the second was by choice. You see that girl is not pretty but juggles guys yet complains men don't give her attention. The first paragraph pretty much explains it. She picked the handsome men and was treated poorly and rejected so she starts playing with the regular guys, excusing herself by saying all men are bad. Definitely overly entitled and someone all guys should stay away from.

Ah I think this video was taken a bit out of context…The girls are discussing toxic trait girls have and it’s not false, because usually girls tend to be more indecisive espc when you have a lack of exp or rather more choices and it’s common in both genders. The podcast is called overthink, so there is a lot of rumination back and forth probably unfiltered on purpose. Upon scanning the original video I do see myself as a girl back then, not as mature that can probably relate, but I do see why this cut was misleading. Personally been on the app and found someone after a long time, unfortunately played the game due to lack of exp and sometimes it is mentally taxing to want to find someone ideal that matches your energy and values. It is not easy to find someone, it’s draining to talk to many people, I guess when you like someone and they ghost you(my first match) it almost scars u in the sense that you can’t pin your hopes on one person now or you will get hurt if it fails. I realise this is also a common sunk cost fallacy most people tend to have. Dating is not easy, so is finding someone. End of the day is always try to be the best version of yourself, if someone ever ghost you don’t take it to heart, if you are tired of the dating game take a break and don’t give up.

Thing is guys get ghosted alot more than the girls, and no one enjoys rejection either. This whole "I am a modern women phase going on but expecting a traditional dude" to pop by wont work, things worked a certain way back in the previous generations. Its something the girls need to adjust. Most girls I know just want attention and validation that is about it. Best way to go about it is to not treat it like a game and be your authentic self, this will rule out plenty of time wasters.

Even though SG has been much developed, but the mentality of dating is still outdated.
