Most who defect know it's a better life outside of North Korea but have a hard time adjusting to the hard core competitiveness of South Korea and being uneducated, looking like a country bumpkin and finding it difficult to fit in with western society. One reason women are mistreated is because they have babies. It sounds crazy but it's the truth. If women would have more control over giving birth society would take them more seriously.
@abbieh164 жыл бұрын
@@horacecooper1527 I totally agree. Which makes it even crazier to a rational mind. Like technically (meaning no offence), female humans no longer need male humans as humans have developed ways to freeze sperm and have enough in banks to repopulate the world over, but still need a woman's womb to fully develop humans. So how does that not make us the most dominate sex? (Not that I think there should be a dominate sex - but just a perception).

the partriarchal system worldwide is not aware of the fact that this imbalance is selfdestroying in the long run. male and female energies as divine aspects need to be equaly presented in all creation. what is done onto others will eventually attract the same energy back, like a boomerang. personal responsibilities will show up somewhere in time and space for reparation/compensation as a cosmic divine law. i feel these dark, dark ages of patriarchy are coming to an end soon.

I really loved this video Yeonmi, I think it helps demonstrate to some of the younger Western generations, myself included, the importance of the women's rights movement in each country or region. Some people may not see the significance that each method of control has over women, especially restricting freedom of movement and travel under the guise of maintaining a feminine appearance or nature. I would love another video on the importance of freedom of travel and movement as a global human right. I think many people in the west do not realize that in restricted places like NK and China that you do not have the freedom to travel freely from region to region and you certainly do not have the freedom to move from region to region to see a better life or employment or school opportunities. I am so strongly hoping in my lifetime that freedom of movement and travel is declared a global human right and we start to hold countries who do not value this right accountable for each and every denial of basic human rights.

Women in NK are not free, they have nothing- love, support, time to do whatever they want and so many other things. We need to fight for their freedom and lives. They all deserve and need to live their lives like us. Thank you so much Yeonmi for this video🥰. With this video you show us not only the reality in NK, you showed how brave you are.
