Interesting to hear your views on PES 2021 Matt. I’ve been all in on PES this year as I’m afraid fifa just wasn’t cutting it for me. After following TerryFGaming channel, I have converted to FUMA on PES playing on professional difficulty and I love it! Yes there are still some flaws with the game but I’ve been playing an EPL save where I am playing every game (it’s on my channel 👍) and the variety and feel for every team is noticeable. Even the difference with the same team when they win or lose and how they feel next game in response to the previous result etc. Nice to hear that you have given it some time though and are enjoying it.

For gameplay improvement, I would like the ball to be a completely separate entity and completely free, more passing and shot error. Better ball physic in term of shooting. Scrap the tactic systems and build from scratch. In the nutshell, a better, humanlike AI is a must

Thanks for this video Matt. I've used your sliders in the past for Fifa bit now I've edited all teams on PES 21 its a different game altogether. So enjoyable now, cheers.

PES 21 has the best gameplay just need minor improvements(less assistance,referees,collisions). I hope they focus much on editing features and presentation part in PES 2022..

Yes! Finally you've given PES 21 a shot, I don't think anyone has called it efootball other than Konami lol. The basic mechanics of gameplay are fine for the most part. Something's need alight tweaks but if I had to pick something it would be better defensive awareness. Just more attention to defense will always be my thing in all sports titles. As you said better tactics are a must as that would sort out a lot of the on field issues. Looking forward to your future ML league if post it.

Nice to see you dipping your toes back in... 👏 I found joy in FIFA16’s AI lately (vanilla disc). Always felt difficulty level and minutes played had a huge impact on how the AI played. Add full manual to that and you have the best base setting to go from...! As much as I love the ball physics; shortcomings in humanizing the AI and tactical flaws made me fall back in love with FIFA16 (1.0). And I’m very good with it atm! 😊👍

Gameplay fix for pes2022 has to be referee's/collision detection. Fouls are too inconsistent in pes2021 and have been forever. Hopefully the new engine can help with that... Away from gameplay, Master League really needs an overhaul! Otherwise, quite happy with the game, esp with the VirtuaRED patch - it's class. Just started with FUMA as well and really enjoying the freedom. Good to have you back, btw.

As you’ve said, the biggest gameplay improvement for 2022 is to bring back an organic flowing game by reducing the tactical rigidity. It undoes so many good aspects to the gameplay by making everything so unbelievably rigid. It’s the opposite of what pes is known for. Really hoping they correct it with the new engine.

Yeah you're right mate. I noticed the same thing when lowering the difficulty. The problem with that was, as you know I pretty much exclusively play fixed cursor. It always felt like my team outperforms my opponent regardless of who they are on lower difficulties. As for the next PES, I just want better AI logic (in and outside of match) and positioning.

It’s not a perfect game but for simulation footy, there’s nothing close. I found my ideal gameplay with Holland’s patch from evoweb in PES20 and i’ve been playing it ever since. I still keep finding new things in every match.

My gameplay needs for PES 2022: Better finesse shot animations/physics - I always feel like this is a massive let down for me when playing currently. The animations don't seem varied enough, and some of the curled shots seem so floaty and the trajectory feels all wrong (too much curve) No more Superman GK dives - I still can't stand the animation where the keeper will dive to his side but end up travelling so far through the air, and wide of the goal. The keepers are great other than that, but it's a realism killer for me.

PES 2022 -smoother gameplay. Massively improve the master league and BAL. fix the online. improve the menu and interface. improve lighting for night games. permanently remove scripting. improve close range passes.

Yeah yeah. Imagine a football game that is fun. Plain simple fun and exciting. You wouldn't ever hear anyone talk about the game in such way. Simple use of imagination.

Pes is nice but very inconsistent. One day it will be awesome and the other day your players will turn like trucks. Also master league will feel different. Its much more unresponsive and pretty much the Opposition will alsways park the bus. Pes22 should really be responsive and laft stick dribbling should be a thing. Its essential for a football game. Also defenders outpacing mbappe id also very often happening, this should be removed.
