Wow! What a great cover of a difficult song from an atypical band. Stupendous job everyone. A band of future stars for sure. I give you all a standing ovation from the heart of nyc. P.S. don't be disappointed by the fact that your audience of teenagers didn't give you the ovation that you so richly deserved. That's on them and their underdeveloped music palette;. this holds together beautifully. i love her husky voice and the bacups are on point and the guitars are nicely tuned for a slight rockabilly sound. very impressive for suxh a large crew. i kant spel.

The coolest thing about All-Stars is that I get to see my favorite performers from the various locations I shoot perform together. During regular season shows, the most experienced performers end up leading different shows, mentoring a group of younger musicians and singers. So I'd never see Clair, Haydee and Jason of the Chicago School in the same show.

May 2017 SO SO impressed with the woman in red... Her delivery, her ability to put inflection and emphasis where needed was amazing . Anyone can sing a lyric - She owned that song, and delivered a great cover

Not to bore you, but it is only of late that I discovered ( schools ) bands doing covers of The Yes......I'm from the 70's and they were and continue to be my all time group. So, I listen very carefully, to see the justice given a Jon Anderson vocal, to a Steve Howe solo, etc........ Anyone can sing a lyric, any actor can deliver a line. But how that lyric is sung, how that line is spoken makes ALL the difference. And, ( in my humble opinion ) it is the Teachers' responsibility, or it should be part of the curriculum, to teach students about delivery, intonation and inflection . It's difficult to sing / deliver a song, if one does not know what the lyrics mean, and where one word should be stressed, etc ...

She's a powerful vocalist, and one of my all-time favorite School of Rock kids. By the way, Jon Anderson is a big supporter of the program, and has done shows backed by various locations of the School of Rock.

My age and background is much the same as PM and totally agree. I have been watching the SOR yes videos for over a year now and find them excellent and often moving in the effort and skill the young musicians have. Thanks for posting.

This was a great performance, but the sound quality is so terrible that it makes it hard to enjoy. If you want to see these young people at their best, watch their rendition of the Alman Brothers "Whipping Post"

The musicians were all in however, i disagree with all the praises to the lead singer .. first she's showboating .. secondly, her lack of in tune vocal pitch, tonality and range demonstrates she was NOT the right choice as lead vocalist for this song .. again i see her focus had more emphasis on stage moves .. YUCK!
