Miss miss miss compositions like this! The new gospel songwriters now make me feel as if money and a "radio hit" are their only spiritual objectives. I pray that this new gospel-rebel-against-the-old-fire-songs will continue touching hearts because it does nothing for mine. I realize that every generation brings its own feel to an artform but the bent toward borrowing elements of rock, country, hip-hop, funk as condiments for gospel music does not come near convicting MY heart or building upon the foundations that give this music power - the power of God. Wish you all the best in Christ. I sincerely do. This is from a lonely heart who no longer listens to gospel music regularly. I mourn for gospel music...miss songs that used to stick to my bones like this one. I mourn our progress that for me feels far far far from who we are in Christ...who we are as a people in Christ. No worries, Anthony Brown...I am in the minority.

I remember back in 1988 the Senior Choir of Emmanuel Baptist Church performed this song while marching in on their anniversary. My best friends mother sat on the first row. She was so proud to be a part of the choir. Sadly, she passed away the day before Mother's day. RIP Mamma Mack!

Hallelujah! It means that if the Lord dictates something to do, we should comply to his order. So we shout the answer 'Yes.' Because it means obedience to our God Father Almighty. Thus this hymn means our true obedience to the Lord. Though I'm a Korean, I love this hymn very much. As you know, this hymnal song is listed in the Baptist Hymnal. I pray that this song may be spread all the world and your church. Let's praise the Lord.

Yes Lord Yes is in the celebration hymnal followed by I have decided to follow jesus. I said yes to following Jesus. I was baptized as a believer in a little country Wesleyan Church June 2019. I havent regretted it. Best decision I ever made in my life
