The red line was always there. And also, I'm sure you guys probably did, but make sure you report if a machine is broken or down. Helps it get fixed and they aren't going to blame you. Also, what you want to do is purposefully knock the pillar down when moving the coins away from it. It will take you a few losses to set it up to where you can win.
