i mean, arthur is the best in the gang but the other gang members are also extremely proficient at what they do. dutch managed to form such a great gang, micah is terrifying with his guns, and the rest of them are also great shots. micah also knew dutch would side with him so he figured it would be a 5 on 2 until john came.

in 6:38 this face movement of Dutch is meaning : he really understood Micah was a traitor and Arthur is proved he is right but Dutch's ego is shaken by Arthur so, Dutch did not want to confront his mistakes. Also Dutch made same narcissistic movement in 6:29 when John said you left me. Summary, in this scene Dutch understood who is traitor but he pretends like Arthur and John are traitors because Micah respects him but Arthur and John are not. So, Dutch is defeated to his ego. He is not stupid he is blind because he cant stand with disrespect. Making one more mistake is not heavy than accepting all of his mistakes. Therefore, Dutch did not side with Arthur.

This kind of fits into the Valentine massacre and being placed in the Valentine prison when you're at another location: if you have a maxed bounty in NH and get arrested for a $5 bounty in Ambarino, you'll be transported to Valentine and you'll pay $4 total. It's nice to know people pay for their crimes in the end. Since I figured that out I've heard talk of a lot of massacres and train robberies in the greater Valentine area.
