Hi Mandy, Thank you for another amazing video. I came across your channel last night, and I’ve already watched four of your videos. I’m trying not to binge-watch because I need these videos to keep me company while I’m going through some stuff. 😅 I’m about to end an abusive relationship, and I’ve realized that I haven’t done much with my work during this time. I studied literature, and I write. I was working on a movie script-your videos reminded me how much I want to pursue it again. I’ve always believed I’m a creative person, so thank you so much for the inspiration. Your videos are so insightful and motivational. You’re helping a young woman in a foreign country find her voice and her way in life. (If I can’t stop myself from binge-watching, I’ll just keep rewatching your videos! And I’m going to recommend this channel everyone I know.) 😁

I'm a pre med student aspiring to go into medicinal research. But I've made art in some form be it paintings , crafts or photographs my entire life. I always thought going into stem is going to kill the creative in me. But your video has really been inspiring and I can do both if I want to , thank you so much for this ❤

Oh this came at just the right time. I’m burnt out from grad school and I genuinely just wonder if I’ll ever feel anything again. I know I will, but right now I just feel so flat.
@careercoachmandy11 сағат бұрын
grad school is so rough because it's all adults going back to learning which is wonderful but also competitive and strange. just hang in there!

@ thank you! 😊 I graduate in January so I think it’s the “thesis drop” I’m in now (plus the “what’s next?”)

So once you hold space for your emotions, how do you use them as tools? And how do you heal from burnout if you’re already too burnt out to do what you “want” or don’t even know what you want?
@careercoachmandy11 сағат бұрын
thank you. i think that healing is a slow, non-linear process, and that it involves inviting all the different parts of yourself to be part of the process. address the grief, the shame, the happiness, the joy, the fear, all of it. and also identify your specific reasons for burnout. like, what led to it, so you can better understand your situation.

Would you say that in pursuit of something it’s re-enforcing that we lack that thing? 😢 how do we change that scarcity into abundance 😮😊❤ but still enjoying progress towards the thing not just the thing 😅
@careercoachmandy12 сағат бұрын
it's a glass half empty / half full situation. i think the lack can actually motivate you sometimes; it can make you hungry for it which can really drive you. for abundance, something that helps me is to take my wish and then wish that for everyone. so if normally you would say, "i hope to make great art," it would turn into "i hope every artist out there can make great art, and i wish the best for them." does that make sense?
