What I love about Throw it all away is how it basically tells you Shadow's origins in the lyrics along with some of his personality traits. "Head straight to your goals by any means." and "Get there no matter how long it takes." basically states that Shadow will do whatever it takes to complete a mission, no matter how long it takes him. "There is a door that you've never opened. There is a window with a view you've never seen." might be referring to the door to the lab that he was created in and the window might be the one he and Maria would look out of at Earth. "No one can break you, nobody can tear you. You live an endless life forever." easily refers to him being the ultimate life form and doesn't age as fast as other characters like Sonic, Tails or Amy.

He keeps trying to throw it all away, but the rapid flashes of light or memories he keeps seeing makes him face it again and again, endlessly wearing away at his fractured and warped mind. It truly sounds like hell.

When he says "Everybody tries to be straight" it means everyone pretends they are straight or thinks being straight is the "correct" way of living. the next lyrics is "But things are still UNCHANGED." It means you cannot deny queer people existing. Then he says "It's useless to RESIST this" which means you got to accept your orientation sooner than later. otherwise, "Their efforts will be WASTED!" obv this is a fucking joke but your joke sucked ass so had to put it in its place
