UPDATE 15/03/24 - Have heard that the Amazon Fire Stick or Google Cast can work as a casting/airplay option. I have tried to connect my Fire Stick to the screen but nothing seems to appear. Perhaps the Google Cast is a better fit without needing external power
Sharing my feedback and ideas for best use of the Yesoul bike screen. The hardware appears slightly different based on region (here in AU this is the only option for bike to purchase! The non-screen option is not available)
If anyone has found a truly simple and direct way to stream apps, other than KZbin or Yesoul, please lets us know!
The Yesoul bike hardware is truly impressive for the price but the screen is the let down. If you have the option to purchase the tablet stand version instead its what I'd recommend.

Riding the YESOUL spin bike has been totally amazing. Loving how I can hook up my phone and join in on fitness classes while pedaling away. It really keeps me motivated and involved, plus I've seen a big boost in my endurance. Plus, it's super budget-friendly compared to many other options out there. Yes, no info out there that Ive seen! As I mentioned, unfortunately, it seems Netflix doesn’t load properly via streaming to the screen. The only way is to just mount an iPad/tablet separately

It seems that both of us bought a bike with a 21-inch screen just to use it as a hanger for a small iPad. Quite the advertisement for Yesoul, isn't it? In my opinion, it's a complete disrespect to the consumer for a product that's advertised as an item that can be easily connected via WiFi and Bluetooth.

Yea it’s a shame they don’t just focus in on build quality and make it more of a BYO product allowing full connectivity through a tablet. They seem to have made it even worse with recent software updates and the app almost never working now

It’s elevated to 100% and I can’t seem to decrease it. Not on the screen and not on the app. I can’t ride at that percentage I’m a beginner 😭

I haven’t made an updated video here but the best I’ve heard from the FB group is to use an Amazon Fire stick or Google Chromecast. Apparently you can also record the workout as well. But no fix for streaming all apps from a phone unfortunately

Can you share the data with your iPhone (and without a subscription)? With my current treadmill and IFIT they do not allow sharing unless you pay the monthly subscription.

I have not found any difference for data sharing or streaming with or without the subscription. The only features that change are access to videos/classes from what I can tell. But, I have not used the Yesoul app for some time as I just use my Apple Watch to track my workouts

To others watching this thinking of buying DON'T DO IT . The current models do not offer HDMI connection (only USB-c) and as a result you will have to pay a monthly fee to use the monitor for anything more than speed stats

I received mine two days ago and it has HDMI. I'd seen multiple reports like yours after ordering, so I was a bit anxious as to what would be arriving. Luckily it turned out well. I'm in Europe and the manufactured date is listed as December 2023. I don't know if I just lucked out and got a sufficiently old item, or if this is based on region. Ironically, the screen is so poor quality I'll probably end up putting the bike in front of my TV instead, but it's nice to have the option. Edit: On watching the video, I can say that my model is definitely a bit different. It has a phone/tablet holder built-in, for one.

Now the bike comes with 2 cables: Lighting and USB-C that you can use to connect with the bike

Yeah, this is a scam. They do not make the HDMI version with free screen casting anymore. You have to pay to use the app for screen casting and the HDMI port is removed. Not worth the buy.

This is concerning, i cant even cast anything to the screen just bluetooth audio. The cable soesnt do anything ezcept charges

I’ve had better luck to cast via screen share over wifi. For iPhone it’s called airplay and seems to work with YT but nothing else. I’m going to be trying the Amazon Firestick option as well

Yea I think the lights are to show Bluetooth is on and power supplied.
