I saw The Carpenters in concert about 1977 in Longview, TX at the high school. I loved Karen’s beautiful and flawless voice. Since she passed away as she did, hearing her recordings brings a certain sadness. Pretty and happy Toni Lee is doing such a fine job singing “Karen’s music” that she brings back fond memories of the songs while also diminishing any sadness of The Carpenters ending the way they did.
