Sarah, I must confess that the Carpenters were not always my favorite musical group, but something happened recently that changed all that-- I was able to see and hear Karen Carpenter play drums on video, and I was also able to listen to this number much more closely than I ever had before. Both experiences were transformative thanks to your salubrious performing, and to the very fact than you chose to cover this song to begin with.
