Can u weld aluminum with the 205p tig machine
@reloadnorth77229 ай бұрын
I am a self taught hobby welder that does fair work. I just ordered the Yeswelder TIG-205P DC Pulsed TIG Welder. I want to learn TIG welding. After watching this video, I feel a little more assured it will work well. Stay safe and happy welding.

hi Darius! great video!!!thanks for sharing your experience with this machine one question does this need a water cooler to weld aluminum? thanks
@trailercourtsupervisor3 ай бұрын
It does not require a water cooler to weld aluminum, I have welded a pretty signigicant amount of aluminum in a single run and not overheated the torch, nor have I reached the machine duty cycle. I would guess if running at 200 amps it would overheat within a few minutes just like any other air cooled torch would, but I have yet to have it happen.

Has Yeswelder replaced their larger TIG-250P-AC/DC with this "200" model? I do not see it the 250 on YW's website anymore. Should I be nervous (I have one)? Great video - Thanks!

this is a dual voltage machine, the 250 is 220 only. as far as i can tell thats really the only major difference between the two. probably was just them shifting from one market where 220 is standard to the american market where people want to run their stuff on 110.

I just got this same welder. This will be my first time using TIG, and your videos have been very helpful. I need to run a 240v about 20 feet away from the main panel so I can plug in the machine. I am still not sure what size wire and breaker I need for this welder, I want it for aluminum mostly. Any suggestion is appreciated. Thank you for your videos
@trailercourtsupervisor4 ай бұрын
Run some 10/2 wire and a 30a breaker, I believe a 20 service would be sufficient, but with a 30a you can run a compressor or a larger machine

They are mini dinse connectors, smaller than an XMT, I am sure it can be adapted, but it uses the smallest connector I have ever seen.

What made you choose this over the 250 amp model ?
@trailercourtsupervisor11 ай бұрын
Price, wasn’t entirely sure how well these machines would run, if I could do over now I would definitely buy the 250 amp.
@davidmuller195811 ай бұрын
the 250a model is a multiprocess machine. you gain more, but it costs over double if i recall correctly. You barely gain tig functions besides the 50a increase. Its worth it if you need to do bigger work. At 200 amps though, this thing is a beast from what i see.
@trailercourtsupervisor11 ай бұрын
@@davidmuller1958 I have been running it on quite a bit of 1/4" - 3/8" aluminum, it is about all the machine is capable of on pure argon. It would easily handle 1/2" on of a helium argon mix. Yes this little machine is well worth the money. Knowing the quality now, I would defininitely spend the money on a yeswelder 250 ac/dc machine.
@davidmuller195811 ай бұрын
@@trailercourtsupervisor I just paid 380 or so for the machine in the video thanks to black friday. I think the one khalitazi is mentioning is the firstess ct2050 model with is priced at 1599.99 which is an enormous increase. I would definitely buy it if i needed a plasma cutting function,that would be great. I wished they made a cheaper only tig/stick model that did 250a. I would have gotten that instead. Thanks for the information on the capabilities of this machine. it was a good purchase. I received it yesterday, but have still not used it. but i cant wait to get this going.

@@trailercourtsupervisor The 250 amp machine outputs only 200 amps. Yeswelder is famous for using propoganda in their advertising. You have their most powerful tig machine.

Can you recommend a good 2 stage air compressor that can keep up with air sanders and sandblasting? Thank you
@trailercourtsupervisor6 ай бұрын
There are a lot of good compressors out there today, I have an old Puma 2 stage 60 gallon that puts out 18cfm @90psi and It has never been insufficient for me. Air sanders and sandblasters are real air hogs and you will be hard pressed to make enough air on a budget.

You honestly won’t find a machine with this capability for less than double or triple the price. At $450 it is very worth it. I built my whole turbo kit with it (aluminum and SS tube) and wouldn’t have a nicer end product if I had used a miller dynasty like I run at work.
@jeffgood644110 ай бұрын
Trust me man I know this I did want to ask tho do you believe it's dumping out the true amps i see it states it a 200 but it only having a wp17 torch is a red flag I got a vevor brand 210 tig that runs amazing and it came with a real wp27 torch but the conectors are a dinse 25 style are these the same or are they dense 50 but yea I just want some ac capabilitys in my life but yea the dinse 25 are rated for like 250 so your good there but that torch is gona be hurting if it really puts out that amperage I wouldn't go above 160 cause it will eat that lil guy up but thing is they are pretty cheap to upgrade and having the 17 you can get in some tighter spots at least
@trailercourtsupervisor10 ай бұрын
If it isn’t 200 it’s close, I’m able to run 1/4” alum on pure argon, doesn’t seem any different than if I was to run 200 on a dynasty 350 at work, less power than you should run, but it does it.
