I love that they have kept consistent with their group backstory since initiating it. They are 7 extra-terrestrial beings who landed on earth and bring this new sound and style while giving positivity to all who listen to them. They adopted the wolf as their mascot and named their fanbase ALPHAZ. They have perfectly blended these two concepts into all their music videos and songs and still add more dimensions to who they are as not just a group but individuals. I absolutely adore them and they were amazing in concert. They really are Xtraordinary Girls. Great reaction! ALPHAZ Let's Go!

The album just dropped with the song, Howling is the title track. There are two new songs on top of this one in the album : In the rain and Is this love, two rnb bangers, and there is also the Woke Up remix which requires a bit of lore to appreciate : the rappers on the remix are prominent korean and japanese rappers brought here by the producer Simon (who is half japanese and korean himself) as a sort of showing of unity and endorsing of the XG project. Maybe you don't know but relations between those two countries are sometimes tense and it's a dream of Simon to bring his piece for a sort of reconciliation. Anyway, the remix is dope, as are the rest of the songs on the album (IYKYK and Something ain't right) are on it also, it's the second album without a bad song, what a team they have (producers as well as the girls). Howling is clearly their masterpiece : everything is here, quality rap writing, atmosphere, the hook is truly provoking "awe" (the title of the Album) and shock, it's hauntingly beautiful and the video is like... I don't even want to know the budget, plus it's incredibly bold artistically speaking. Regarding the lore, I won't go into too much details but since their first songs they have a sort of double concept : they are wolves and form a pack (the fandom name is Alpha and that's why they ave grills in Woke up) and they are aliens from another world. It's started as that, but since IYKYK and now Howling they added some sort of mythical naturalistic spritism, it seems that each girl is representing here an aspect of nature. This development is quite new so it's surprising pretty much everyone. Sorry for the long read, great reactions guys.

Also the Art Direction was from renowned South Korean Art Director Cho-GiSeok (same guy on the helm of GRL GVNG & WOKE UP). The costumes are real tho. They really go out of way when it comes to insane, over the top costume which we love. The QR code scans for PIG (maybe a shade about the industry?) 😊

Yep 👍🏽 Exactly…I love the Michael Jackson music references. Simon “Jakops” knows exactly how to highlight each member. Right after “GIRL GANG” … Simon “stated yep, they’re aliens 👽 “. My favorite version of GIRL GANG is the American Sign Language one because one of the XGALX Production Team member’s daughter is a deaf fan…🙆🏻‍♀️🫶🏽…plus this specific version has the entire song in it. I’m so impressed because these Xtraordinary Girls moved from JAPAN had to learn KOREAN, moved onto ENGLISH then took ASL to create a version for the deaf community. You're legit the only person I heard catch on to the song used (9:30 mark). I heard it too. It's the Immigrant Song which has been used in movies such as Shrek when Snow White attacked with the wildlife (as you mentioned), Thor Ragnarok, and Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. It's a war cry and very befitting for the vibes 🔥🔥 So the story line I got from it is like XG said: they better kneel and pray, cuz they coming for the throne. They're infiltrating this bot like system (as shown in the mv) and "breaking idol stereotypes" by bringing uniqueness, color/life into a music world that's lacking individuality. They're coming and attacking full force til they take over completely.
