My mom had a ruptured colon. The surgeon said it was one of the three worse cases he had seen. He was basically telling us she was going to die. But my mom wasn’t saved, and I prayed to Jesus saying… Jesus, people will say she’s going to a better place but you know that’s not true, my mom isn’t saved, please give her more time on this earth. My mom lived another 14+ years and was born again before she died. All the glory to Jesus. Praise his holy name. 🙌

I bear witness to what Cathy said here because I am her husband and I was there. It was at Long Island Jewish Hospital on the Queens/Nassau County border in New York. The Doctor came down to the lobby dressed in his green garb with his mask pulled down, in the early hours of the morning (well past midnight) after operating on her for hours. He was a highly esteemed Doctor in his field, and I remember thinking how hard it must be for him to talk with the families in cases like this. We listened and we knew we had to PRAY. We went into a separate area to pray and we asked the Lord to HEAL and SAVE Cathy's Mom and the Lord had MERCY upon her soul. Cathy said her Mom looked like one of those helium balloons at the Thanksgiving Day Parades with her face all blown up with tubes going everywhere. In the end GOD WON and that is the ONLY thing that matters. It is so true that Cathy's Mom was NOT born again at that point in her life, and she would have died in her sins because she was NOT saved. (John 8:24) It is never too late to get right with God on this side of eternity. “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye MUST be born again.” (John 3:6-7) “Therefore if any man be IN CHRIST, he is a NEW creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become NEW.” (2 Corinthians 5:17) “But God commendeth his LOVE toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now JUSTIFIED by HIS BLOOD, we shall be SAVED from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were RECONCILED to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be SAVED by his life.” (Romans 5:8-10)

We sing because we are saved and secure in Jesus for His eternal purpose.
