YETI Hopper Flip 12 review after 2 years use

We stumbled on Yeti on a trip to the States 4 years ago, by buying a can cooler. Was really impressed with it and since then have imported some Yeti stuff from the States (we live in England). Delighted Yeti now sell in the UK and so we bought the Hopper 8 to compliment of Hopper 24 and Roadie 20. Bloody good kit and a great honest review. Our Yeti stuff has now increased to the Loadout box, 3 buckets, a blanket, 3 cool boxes and about 18 drinks holders!!! Cheers!

This is the best review of the yeti hopper 12 that I have seen. My ONLY complaint so far is that the zipper pull has torn and needed replacing. If you have this happen, contact Yeti and they will send a new one free of charge. Okay and it is also very expensive 😃. I thought that I was the only one that uses it for a work lunchbox....

garthvadr, Thank you for the comment. I really do appreciate it. After the review and a week or so ago I started to notice that the zipper is catching in one spot but no damage yet. I may have to get a replacement later.

I just bought one of these today to use as a lunchbox. With heading back to work after Covid-19, we are not really to be using the kitchen or the refrigerator, so I needed a place to keep my lunch cold. Thanks for the great review! I would love to a video about how to wax the zipper.

Hey. Great review. Do you notice any condensation on the outsides or do the sides or bottom feel cold through the day?

Rarely do I have any condensation onnthe outside. And as well I do not feel any colder temperature on the outside throughout the day. If any it's slightly cooler but not really noticeable.

The BigRott, thank you so much for the comment. So far the Flip has held on strong and I still enjoy it to this day (kind of). Corona has got me working from home so I haven't used it as much as I use to. But the zipper is holding g out and I haven't had to replace it yet. Really solid so far. thank again for the comment, one of my favorites.

I have the Flip 18 - looking to get the 12 - key is not to force the zipper and use the lube it comes with

You are so right. Many times I have found myself trying to force the zipper when all I need to do is apply steady pressure. The lube is the most important thing to keep your zipper in good function. Thank you Nyuna Bizness for your comment!
