That's a cool area. looks like you might need a little bigger lugs on your tires. I rode one time in some terrain like that with the stock dirt tires that came with my bike and I was stuck all the time. I have a set ogre holeshots now and I only get stuck half the time. lol

+Craig Reimer I really hate these Holeshot HDs. They never get flats but they are a really hard compound that just doesnt grip in the soft stuff like that. I much prefer the Holeshot GNCCs instead (wider lug) I also had way too much air pressure in the rear tires because I knew we were going for a long ride and I had been having trouble with one of them keeping the bead. It might also be the fact I am running a 10 inch rim in the rear right now so they are really stiff compared to the stock 9 inch rich with more rubber on the wheel. I Was used to running the huge old Kenda Bear Claws which spoil you because they grip like crazy. Even she was having trouble hooking up on the raptor with those in that loose duffy stuff.

LOL I had a TON of air pressure in the rear tires because I was trying to get one of them to keep the bead. Not a huge fan of these ITP HD tires on a 10 inch rim. Just too stiff. Although no flats yet so I guess that's a good thing. That spor we got stuck at had some really light duff under the sticks. Was pretty deceiving.

rcysi you just have to go fast and not stop :-) I grew up on a Yamaha big bear 350 full time 4x4 (my dad's quad when I was younger). thing was unstoppable but a heavy TANK. they both have their advantages, sport quads vs utility quads. I can say dragging a YFZ450 out of the brush on a failed hill climb is a LOT easier than getting a 4x4 unstuck. I wouldn't mind getting a 4x4 quad again someday just for variety and to have some racks to haul gear for longer trips. the grizzy 700 or timberwolf would both be quads I would consider owning if the price were right.

You should check out the website Rocky Mountain ATV. Best deals I have found on parts and gear all in once place. They definitely have tires for your Raptor 250, not sure about graphics but you can check. Best helmets for the price are HJC. That's what I use.

We are in northern california. The raptor was about 1500 used and not in running shape. I put about another 500 into it to get it going. the yfz450 I traded my dual sport WR250R for and was valued right around 3500 when I traded it to the guy,

Dylan Beckerman I have the 300ex, amazing quad but not enough power for me but i got it free so i cant complain. I definitely want something bigger. But the cam am renegade is a great heavy sport atv. You can power through mud like a monster, but still have the agility for wheelies and speed like a sport atv. You should check it out, they are a little pricey though. I dont know much about the scrambler besides that its can ams competition. But if you were going to pay that much for a mix between both, i would instead just go on Craigslist and find a good but cheap sport atv and a 4x4 one so you can have 2 for the price of one heavy sport.

you guys should be very careful.someone put a gate up for a reason.you are riding fast i had a buddy who paid good money for his own trails so they were things in place for outsiders who did not belong there.going that fast you would never see them till it was to late.you would have a very bad day.just sayin i would be a little weary riding on trails like that.i ride and have been shot at for riding where i was not wanted.
