MY REVIEW -
I have an ITC membership and had booked the stay through the app. Also booked the airport pickup which was confirmed by the reservation. Then also even before the arrival day i got no call and had to call myself and get the confirmation after 2-3 calls.
We had booked the club itc room which was categorized after the suits. Surprisingly this did not have the bath tub. Being the member we requested for room upgrade. After much of waiting and calls we were upgraded to the junior suite room. The room was good. We were happy with the room. It was quite big and had an amazing bathroom.
We did not like the breakfast or lunch buffets. Choices were less. Not much interesting to be noticed. I strongly believe they repeated various things during the different time buffets. Be it dishes or desserts not much was in offer. More so all of what was in offer tasted just average. Nothing great.
Coming to the transport desk or the travel desk. They are costly. Damn costly. For a trip from the hotel to puri they charged us 6500 whereas the best of the travels charge 3750. A trip to chilika lake, dhauli giri, lingaraja temple which shud cost 5000+ the hotel charged 8000+. My only advice plz do not book through this hotel's travel desk. Perhaps google and get the best ones for your service in better rates.
My wife used their spa 2 times for various services. Overall she was not satisfied. Second day she went for the scrubbing and face cleansing and that was what she will never forget. No dryer. No lotion. And because of this she caught cold. No arrangements at all.
This property is good because it is new but it is run in the most inefficient way by new people who are trying to do their best but in a non-trained way. Things are just running for the sake of running at this property. Also i strongly think this property should be thought for business stays. Only one thing which all ITCs are good at is the sleeping linens. They have all types of them which makes sleeping an amazing undisturbed experience. Also the shower in the bathroom was super awesome.
This hotel is almost out of the city so that's also a negative. I have stayed in so many hotels but this does not live up to the standard of the ITC. If u r not into much details and if the budget works for u then u can choose this or else skip this when in Bhubaneswar. There would be many other good ones to stay.
