But when you have been waiting so long to pick up your new car, you have played it all out in you head how you want it to go, you pray all is good, then things go tits up, yeah it's only a puncture, but it's the start of a relationship, first impressions are important :) looking back later it's not a big deal, but at the time it's a disaster, and the feeling of your new car being twice as big as it actually is hence the 20 point turn lol, looked like he needed someone swabbing his brow like a surgeon after getting it out of the showroom.

Just want to clarify to everyone something based on what was said about leaving the screw in the tyre and driving - only do this if you are heading to the tyre shop to get it repaired. As soon as you notice a screw/nail get it looked at straight away. Even if it has not punctured the tyre and you think “it’s fine” the consequences of leaving a nail in a tyre going down the motorway are catastrophic. I had that happen to me driving out of the showroom (not a Lamborghini mind you, but still my dream car in my price bracket) Hats of to BMW, they took the car straight back in, sat me down made me a coffee, got me some lunch and 3 hours later a new tyre was sourced, collected and put on my new car. All done free of charge. Would probably have been a different story if it had happened on the road, but it was as it came out of the showroom and sat outside while I finished the paperwork. First world problems but still frustrating as hell.

I once had a brand new windshield replaced on an M3. Picked up the car, drove straight away from Atlanta to Louisville, Kentucky. As I entered Kentucky six hours later1, a dump truck (a very large "lorrie") threw a stone out the back and hit the windshield dead center and put a visible chip in it. Left it that way for ten more years...

The trick with the caps is common across many brands, Porsche do the same. If you’re using mental valve caps I would be cautious. The mental caps can react with the metal valve and end up welding itself to the valve.

I bought the R8 Spyder V10 and curbed it in 2 minutes after getting it home. Was annoyed all day without knowing it was so easy and cheap to fix

Yanni did you know you can de-valve the alloys? would look much better without the black valves. The replacements are normally silver which you can paint white and are flush with the alloy until you need to put air in and then you just unscrew the cam and screw on the valve. Would look so much nicer 🤙

I am surprised that buyers of these supercars don't order a second set of wheels/tyres with their new cars-a puncture is something that myself and a few close friends in the Lamborghini Car Club Australia always worry about! Quite a number of us have a second set of wheels/tyres for the unlikely time that we get a puncture. So just a suggestion Yianni, maybe buy another set so at least you don't have to go through waiting to get a new tyre fitted? Great video and an awesome choice of car and colour, thanks mate.

Hi yanny I know how you feel I got a ten mill bolt through my new cars rear tyre with just 350 miles on it. And of course a hole in the tyre of that size they couldn’t repair it not as I would won’t them to. So a new tyre was needed at a cost of £300. Onwards and upwards as they say. Enjoy the car it looks brilliant.

Always have a tyre plugging kit nearby. Yes I know it was too close to the sidewall and on a £500k car, but it would have held the air in minimizing any risk of damage to the wheel.

It's a bit astonishing there is not a puncture-proof liner service (say, KEVLAR) for the luxury crowd. Or even tires w/ a KEVLAR ply in them. It takes 20 to 50 layers of KEVLAR to stop a bullet (lower caliber rounds), that screw would be no problem.
