I appreciate lipas talent but this is very unclear exactly what he is saying. It needs cleaning up a bit & reposting if possible. I'm sure it's good.

This is his musical invitation to his brother to come dance with his daughter the bride, which is one of the emotional and spiritual heights of a Chassidic wedding. Matching it to heartfelt music and reciting it in poetic and rhyming stanzas (an unparalleled talent of Lipa Schmeltzer), he recounts how his brother devoted himself selflessly to their late father (who passed away several years ago), as well as other good deeds, and asks their father looking down from above to pray for the success of his granddaughter's marriage, esp. in light of how his son, the bride's father, sacrificed himself for his care in his later years. Lipa himself, has always been known to have a heart of gold, even during the years when he wandered a bit and led a somewhat weird and unique lifestyle, and now that he has returned to the Chassidic lifestyle and fully reunited with his family, his words to them have an even more special meaning. But I have seen him do this for total strangers. About 15 years ago, he offered a similar introduction for my brother at my niece's wedding. When he arrived at the wedding, we provided him with info on our family and the experiences of my father and mother in the Holocaust. A mere 20 minutes later he got up on stage and rendered a similar heart-rending musical and poetic introduction, in which he "addressed" our deceased parents, relating the horrors they experienced to the joyous occasion their granddaughter is now experiencing. The bride, my brothers and I, as well as countless strangers were weeping uncontrollably.

@@lsmart especially because of the holocaust and our role as jews, etc, those who "wander" shouldn't be allowed back
@lsmart2 жыл бұрын
@@chanabayla1823 What??? I sure hope you don't mean what you said, and merely have a difficult time with English. How could a Jew suggest that we should shut the door on any Jew who wandered and wants to return - especially someone like Lipa who always remained religious and always had a golden heart? And what does that have to do with the Holocaust?
@chanabayla18232 жыл бұрын
@@lsmart you don't stray away.WE are G-DS chosen for a reason. To the best of your ability and circumstances at the time, u follow Hashems commandments. U don't commit hypocritical acts by being orthodox and not adhering orthodox especially since those lesser followers are supposed to turn to u. Jews and goyim are different and the second u go in that direction u may as well commit another holocaust
@lsmart2 жыл бұрын
@@chanabayla1823 My apologies, but you have some twisted sense of Yiddishkeit, so I will simply stop debating you now. Just one final word. Since you are apparently such a tzadeikus that you want to ban all baalei teshuva, I sure hope you don't get disappointed one day, because according to Chazal, the same G-d who welcomes back all baalei teshuva, is very tough on all those who are unwilling to forgive others, but then ask Hashem to forgive them for their own sins.
