I guess what's crucial is that there should always be multiple AI models in competition.

Maybe worth a future discussion on potential increases in global tariffs and there effects.

I (@tonynashnerd) have tweeted about that a lot. Search, and if you can't find them, DM me. There was a Commerce Dept study in 2023 that was super interesting. I've posted the link to it. The problem with most "trade experts" (Peterson Institute, Brookings, most academics, etc) is that they subscribe to 1980s (GATT era) trade theory. The WTO era approach to subsidies and non tariff barriers changes this calculus dramatically. Also, average tariff under the GATT was 35%. Under WTO, it's now ~2.4%. The dynamics of this environment are very different.

In the uk i think one reason for QT, is that the commercial banks, (where the deposits created by QE sit), are making a killing since interest rates went up.

You're probably right - net interest margin is a huge driver.

He's got a proprietary model, etc, etc. Michael's really good. If I were you, I wouldn't totally dismiss what he says, but you obviously need to stick to your plan. Good luck!

@CompleteIntelligence i am listening to him. I am not saying he is totally wrong. He had a good calls. No one can Forcast everything with 100% cetancy. Models are not always picking up everything...

Micheal always sounds like he's been nailing everything left and right, but when I look at his previous calls (especially ones from George Noble's Twitter spaces) I think he was wrong more than he was right

Totally respect your view. We always shout about our victories and try to bury our misses. Over the past couple of years that I've been interviewing Michael, I've seen him right much more often than he's been wrong, although at times he's early. I respect his discipline.
