Great video, but there are a few small chronological accuracies, to elaborate : - After she entered innk, there's a 1 month collab ban as usual. But she and the other talents don't really know how to step in because she's in a different branch. Matsuri is the one that apparently pushes the management to let her collab, tho suisei's first collab partner when she's in innk ended up being mel. So it's not like she didn't collab at all when she's in innk. - After knowing that she's allowed to collab with the main branch, she was invited to the project winter collab, in which she was so nervous she ended up training her ass off until she became too strong and ended up killing everyone, thus giving birth to the suicopath meme. Yes, the suicopath was born before she's moved to the main branch. The popularity of the suicopath probably smoothen the negotiation to move her to the main branch too. - Her big break wasn't on her 3D debut, it was on holofes 1. She was on around 75k subs before holofes 1. She's thinking of singing [comet] but after being inspired her close friend's performance, inui toko from nijisanji, she decided to showcase her vocal too through [tenkyuu]. She wanted to do call and response but apparently management told her to "this time, just sing". Thanks to her performance, her popularity exploded after holofes 1 and tenkyuu became the first hololive og song to reach 1 million views. Which is why Suisei said that holofes 1 is still the most important live in her life, and tenkyuu is a song that means so much to her.

I would like to add more info regarding her career musically and her journey to mainstream. It shows the absolute grind she's been on ever since she got her 3D model. - For 2020, she participated in 16 (!!!) lives (including guest appearances in other members' 3D lives). Let me know if you want the full list. - Some of my favorites from that year were Start in the Screen (500k live), VILLS (birth of micomet), and "Nissin Foods POWER STATION [REBOOT]" - "SUISEI MUSIC "POWER" LIVE" (was really high quality back then). - In 2020 as well, she started making a name for herself in the anime and Vtuber scene. She was able to collab with D4DJ and her song NEXT COLOR PLANET won 1st place in the Vtuber Music Awards music category and 3rd place in the MV category. - Music Space! Her first radio show helped her get used to being a host and singing live. There's a treasure trove of acoustic covers by Suisei thanks to this radio show. - First TV appearance! In December, Suisei appeared in an NHK broadcast featuring Japan's top tetris and puyopuyo players. She was able to fight Japan's #1 tetris player on live tv. - 2021 was her breakout year and the start of her knocking into the mainstream. This was the year she released her 1st album Still Still Stellar which was able to rank in Oricon and other music charts. - She was also able to hold her first physical sololive, Stellar into the Galaxy at Toyosu PIT! Along with the concert was announced various collabs, notably a collab with Converse Japan. - Suisei also appeared on TV! She was in the tv program Project V!. During the peak hype of Stellar Stellar Japanese morning news shows would report on her song. There was also that one moment when Suise's advertisement truck for her sololive was shown on tv lol - Suisei's new radio show with Tadokoro Azusa also launched this year. It's still going strong! - For live participation, she was a guest for 6 hololive member 3D lives, had 2 solo lives, Vills 2 and 3, cindirella switch VR concert, and V-Carnival. - We also had her first duo unit with Taku Inoue, Midnight Grand Orchestra. The unit is signed with VIA lable under Toys Factory JP. - In 2022 the Suisei train wasn't stopping but all the work she was putting in was taking a toll on her throat. During this year she had to take two extended breaks one of which was for her throat surgery. - She participated in holofes 3rd, Vtuber fes Japan 2022, and V-carnival. She had her 3d live Selfish of a Rough Stone (favorite non-paid 3d live btw), Midnight Grand Orchestra 1st live Overture, and her post-surgery comeback live. - She guested 19 times for various 3D lives of other members as well as for the hololive group. And now we're at 2023, and just January alone was full of amazing things. 2nd album, 2nd sololive, first vtuber ever on The First Take, and 3rd sololive announcement! 2020 Lives: January 24, 2020 - hololive 1st Fes. "NONSTOP STORY" March 1 - 3D Debut March 19 - ぶいおん!! SAKURA MUSIC LIVE (if you've seen a clip of Suisei confessing, this is where it's from) March 21 - Anniversary 3D Live June 16 - 音楽で日本をアゲる!星街すいせい★もこ田めめめ★花鋏キョウのSTUDIO July 3 - It's a Virtual Pop World! July 19 - VILLS micomet July 25 - Bilibili Macro Link 2020 (rip Pieces) August 7 - Bilibili World (full vid of her performance is on YT) August 14 - NHKバーチャル文化祭 (search Sora • Suisei • Matsuri「Synchronicity」NHK Virtual Bunkasai on YT to see their performance) September 6 - Tokyo Tower Fireworks Display XR ~COSMIC FLOWER~ October 4 - Virtual Tokyo Idol Festival October 19 - 3rd 3D live, STARt in the SCREEEN! November 22 - SUISEI MUSIC "POWER" LIVE December 10 - Inui Toko 1st sololive "who i am" guest December 22 - hololive's 2nd fest "Beyond the Stage" Looking back at it now, her schedule was insane. Note that she was still doing streams, releasing covers, and radio shows in between these lives. This also helped her make tons of connections. In September 2020 Suisei had a collab event with Vanguard ZERO which was developed by Bushiroad. Bushiroad would then end up officially sponsoring Suisei in her 2021 3D live SPACE for Virutal GHOST, allowing her to perform Bang Dream Raise a Suilen songs (an official clip is still found in the Bandori YT channel). Bushiroad would again sponsor her for her 1st Sololive Stellar into the Galaxy.

Hello everyone, Yiman here! I'm just absolutely humbled by the incredible support and love this video is getting. Vtuber content never does well on my channel so I was initially very hesitant to make this video. However, with being absolutely blown away by Suisei's The First Take performance to learning her incredible backstory, I pushed myself to make this video. NGL I put my all into this project. From watching 50+ Suisei clips, rewriting my script over and over again, and the actual editing process, I worked 5 days straight and clocked in more than 40 hours making it. But, as I got deeper and deeper into my research, the more and more I felt motivated to make this video so that more people will learn of her amazing backstory. I told myself if even one viewer was to get moved from this video or get some value from it, it would be well worth it. So, when many of yall commented saying this video made you emotional and even made you cry, that in turn made me emotional as well because I poured so much into this video🥲 To all my new subscribers, thank you for joining the Yiman fam! I'm trying to make more of these longer form vids covering more amazing people such as mangakas, seiyuus, and animators part of this robust anime and manga industry we all really love. I will actually be making more Vtuber-focused videos like this in the future. I'm thinking about covering Hololive's Subaru and Elite Mike in the future because I feel their backstories are fascinating as well. However, if you know any other Vtubers you want me to cover please comment below or slide into my DMs🫡 Lastly, let's continue to give Suisei our support as we watch her continually break records in the vtuber space. More importantly, as cliche as it sounds, let's try to find and support these indie vtuber talents who are "diamonds in the rough". Tbh the Vtuber space is a very oversaturated place. So, if you do happen to see a vtuber who isn't getting any traction despite their raw talent, a nice comment, a thoughtful DM, or a RT of a tweet goes a long way.🙏 I wish everyone peace and happiness as they chase after their dreams. Amazing work on summing everything in just 12 minutes. I would like to add some of my personal Suisei's moments that inspired me 1. The Jack of All trades moment. I can't find the original clip or vid but apparently, Suisei want to be an irl idol. She applied to several idol agencies but got rejected.. because she can do many things alone. She can sing, dance, play game, write lyric, mixing, making video, drawing, animating, etc. That is why she decided to be Vtubers and get famous to get back to all those agencies that rejected her. 2. One of her biggest challenge is not the recent throat surgery. It is actually when her doctor told her to use her normal voice instead of her cute voice. For vtubers, changing your voice is a big issue but she has to do it because her throat is suffering. It took some time including members' encouragement for her to be brave and starting to use her real voice on stream and singing. In the end, Suisei's story is all about someone who defied all expectations including her own. She knows very well what she can do, so she push through it, meet helpful colleagues, and overall being nice to everyone. She is not the best singer in JP or in Vtuber space, but she understand her power and advantage very well. That is why she is one of the brightest star in JP music right now. She is a real inspiration for myself, just like other Hololive vtubers as well.

Also adding a nice little trivia : Kuon Ran and Lupinus Knightley is her old friend since her independent days and they still drop around casually for collabs with her, same thing with Inui Toko of Nijisanji, they met up when Toko just debuted it all began when their friend told them that they both liked Ensemble Stars, lol

The sad part of Suisei's rise is the parallel downward spiral of AZKi's career. It's quite literally "A Star Is Born"-story between the two of them. It got so bad that by 2021, AZKi was contemplating graduating until INNK folded and she got absorbed into Hololive/Cover Corp proper.
@ahmad_sakhi_2197 Жыл бұрын
That's mean INNK it's failed to covering up everything about idol production and under main cover production its getting better, i don't what's problem with them (INNK) , they accept suisei but not covering the album and production and just naming it's kinda sucks until INNK was disappear

AZKi still has her day job and the reason she wanted to quit was because of the conditions there getting worse. That's why she doesn't stream regularly. She got better conditions in early 2022. I went from seeing a clip of Henya singing "japanese goblin", and wanted to know more so I searched youtube for the song. The first video that popped up was Suisei, La+, and Fubuki playing Apex. I took immediate interest in Suisei's voice and found her music. I was blown away at how catchy and good her music and voice are. Next thing you know I'm enjoying 'suicopath' videos. I've watched vtubers here and there, but I went from not knowing any of the Hololive members to watching clips almost daily. They're all so unique and nutty in their own way, and it's bringing my a ton of joy and laughter in a pretty rough patch of my life. Thanks for this video, I would have never known she went through all of these hardships. This really instills the meaning behind "Stellar Stellar", and I love it so much more now.

Yagoo is the foundation where Hololive will be built on A-chan is the pillar that supports the group And the Idols are the substance of this rich and wonderful group But only a select few can be labeled the walls of this team, holding it together and being the very walls that the others can lean on for support Of course then we have the EN branch that further explodes the popularity of the group and became further expansions to this story of A man with a dream, Giorno gio- I mean Motoaki Tanigo, who decided to prioritize the dreams of those working under him, and him supporting them as they continue to shine in their own way, even if its not the way he wanted them to shine. A wonderful day to have the shooting star of hololive bless us

If you take a look of hearsays and the talents feedback on their interviews. Yagoo sure does a hard time to drive away many potential talents due to limited slots to make sure their debut isn't too diluted. Only some persist like Suisei. The only case I know of them is Nene, she failed several interviews before getting accepted.
@nietzchan Жыл бұрын
@@neonlasttite4384 actually plenty funny story from the talent themselves about audition: - Watame keep sending her application multiple times first because she misstyped her name and anxious because she didn't get the call for interview. - Fubuki convinced her classmate Mio to join Hololive, they both then meet Korone and Okayu at the arcade and invites them to apply and create GAMERS - Sakura Miko is one of the very vew talent that actually got scouted personally by Yagoo for Sakura Miko Project - Noel who passed the first stage without knowing it in 2018 because her friend put her on the audition, half a year later she went into the audition again as herself, lol

It’s stories like these that make me so happy that I’m a vtuber fan. Such a legend and inspiration to never give up on your dreams. My brother likes to say this saying “you only have to make it once” I feel like that’s the case here. We see Suisei working so hard and even though she fails she keeps trying. When it seemed as though she was about to give in she finds the support needed and ability to survive. To again get back up again. It’s literally written like the best anime’s of all time. I can’t.

Suisei is the kind of girl who always pushes forward, always try to find a motive to keep going for her dreams. She's an inspiration. The whole world seemed against her becoming famous, but she decided to flip the bird to them and fought her way to the top with minimal help. She had a dream, she held onto it through the rough and bumpy ride, and came out achieving it with flying colors. Her story just shows that any dream is possible, no matter your financial, social, or even physical status. You have the will, you can make it. Brings a tear to the eye even to those who've become sterilized by the world like me. May your legacy never die, and let it light the night sky like the stellar comet you were born to be

I'm so proud of Suisei, no matter in 2019/2020 to now, 2024, 90% of Vtuber agencies would need to you give up everything and start a whole new persona to join even if you were accepted. I could understand how Susei couldn't give up being 'Hoshimachi Susei' because she started this herself with a burning passion to become a Vtuber. She designed her own model, rigged her own model, edited her own videos and working multiple jobs in order to make ends meet. She had a slow and rough start so she decided to interview for Vtuber agencies but only Hololive picked her up for their music label but after her initial debut she wasn't given any support. Despite this and the passion burning out, after switching to Hololive she shined like a star. The shooting star she said she was, she lived up to her name. When it played 'The first take - Stellar Stellar" I honestly got goosebumps from it because of how emotional this moment and how big this achievement is for her. Susei, good job, I'm so proud of you and you really lived up to your name. You are all of our idols. You shined like a star.

great vid, I hope you do a video on Suisei's buisness partner Sakura Miko. She has a pretty interesting past, and parallels suisei to. A lot of people don't realize it, but she has some pivotal moments that affected the vtuber industry at large. The infamous N word debacle, was a massive in breaking the algorithm for the term "vtuber". Her GTA stream during the initial covid oubreak, was one of the earliest break in abnormal growth in vtuber search terms to. Miko has done a lot of minor meme things tha tmight be overlooked, but in subtle detail Miko is actually a pioneer for the industry and pushes the medium forward a lot more then ppl think. She is both an amazing act on screen, and incredibly effective behind the scenes (as said by her peers, colleagues, and staff). She may act a bafoon in stream, but she is extremely talented and professional.
