Yinchuan is the place of Hui people. Interestingly Zheng He who is from Hui minority during Ming Dynasty visited Semarang, Central Java Indonesia and built a temple with Chinese architecture over there. The temple still last until present day.

Great video! I am very impressed how knowledgeable you are about Chinese history. Islam is localized in China and there are 17-25 million Muslims living in China, some of them are the descendants of Arab or Persian merchants who arrived in Southern China especially in Quanzhou (seaport) in Fujian province in the 12th century during Marco Polo era and married local Chinese women, and never returned. You may fin done of the oldest mosques built by Arabs in Guangzhou during the Tang dynasty in 627. There are also Hui Muslims in Yunnan province. You may also want to visit Xinjiang and Tibet in the future...colorful culture, different religions and interesting history. Subscribed!

Thanks for subscribing! A lot of Hui ancestry also lies on the silk road. Arab merchants overlanding it to China and staying, settling down and marrying local women. A diverse country!

I think these are the two best pagodas yet, even though you weren't able to climb the second one. That's a shame, and surprising, since it's relatively new (well, 200+ yo) and seems pretty solidly built. The first one was very nice though, as was the temple around it. I liked the drum tower too. You find a lot of wonderful spots! Too bad not many people outside of China know of these gems (I certainly had never heard of these pagodas, like so many that you visit) but I think your channel's changing that.
@nickinchina25525 ай бұрын
They are both wonderful! The second one...yeh the pagoda itself is in good shape but often the stairs inside are wooden so need replacing sometimes. I will keep looking for great places to show you, China is full of fantastic history!

Great job, man. While most foreigners tend to be enchanted by the major/modern/touristy/metropolitan areas in China, seasoned and connoisseur China travelers explore off-the-beaten path/less modern/more provincial/more aboriginal/more culturally unique and diverse areas. Well done 👍 ❤
