There are traps in doing this . Cost of transport , handling charges both ends , delivered items not matching sample quality upon arrival , insurance , taxes and import duty , communications problems , cultural differences . Do your homework very , very well .

How slow news travel, I knew of this place at least 2 years before this video was published. Most of the items are probably not that price anymore since the rise in labor cost, plus he did not factor in the shipping cost(e.g. a garden fountain might be $20, but shipping is probably twice that amount, not to mentioned the duty, the storage, and marketing cost). The only one that seems to be coming out of this ahead regardless is this guy's business of giving suckers tours and convincing them all those deals are golden!

I'm interested in sourcing some products, i've identified all of my suppliers there at the international trade city and happy with the products, but im not sure how to go about shipping them over, and a 20ft container needs around 250k worth of goods which im not prepared for yet, is there a way to do smaller quantities without rising the cost too much?

Al Jazeera AJ Hi, here are the methods you can consider: 1) see a friend or any importer from your country, more you guys near, more better(so you can clear from customs easy and save the shipping cost), the supplier doesn't have to be in same location or you guys are not importing same category(they can ship from same location or same shipper); 2), you can buy different things to fulfill the container 3) and you can tell your supplier to send with other clients within the same container, you don't have to know who or what product coming with yours, you only clear your products. 4) contact us to [e-mail], we are local sourcing agent and we also provide the exporting service as well. Well, what to say, if you do not start one step out, how to begin business? You can ask several vendor, then choose the best one or two, have deep relationship with them, get to know them and their factory. There are many ways to test your vendor, ask them to send photos from factory, to review their website, to ask more question about the product and market, then choose your favourite one to trust and start business.
