if you dig out the inlet you can make a protected harbor for your ships. just widen a bit and deepen it. a nice dock with a walkway and stairs going to the house.

I love the series, Beef. I think you should build on the new Yland as there is a bit more room. I also think you should build up your ship a bit more. You can put a cabin on it or some fenced railings. I think it would look sweet.

I like the exploring. You could put a limit to the number of days you explore and then decide on the island you'd like to build on. This is relaxing and fun to watch!

I think what really makes your Ylands series different is your mobile base and your exploration. I'd like to see you trying out the building mechanics but it would be amazing if you built a badass floating base and saw how much you can explore! This new island looks much better to build on if you want to spend a few episodes setting up somewhere a bit more permanent :)

I'd love to see you make a main base on the large flat (relatively speaking) island where you can experiment with all the stuff there is to do in the game. I think I saw that you can even build a car that you can drive around! This game has so much depth and potential, it's unbelievable!

Settle down on the new bigger island and finally build something! Also I would love to see a ranch/farm land with pens for goats, horses, and crops and just make a calm relaxing paradise.... also a archer tower would be swell!

I think you should go home and get your horse and any resources you left, then come back and build on this new island. Honestly, it's way prettier and there's so much more space. I'd love to see you explore the interior of the island with us, too! (...I don't really like the platform on the ship tbh... stick with basic machines on the ship and use it mostly for exploring, then come home with your chests stuffed full of things you've discovered on other islands!)

I like this new yland and I think it would be a great home base. With that being said I would love to see more exploring, you have a good idea with the platform idea but it in the back and then build a cabin on that. This way you have a small home to keep all your things

Hey Beef ! You can fix/fill the small gap which makes the blocks you place look like they are ''floating'' by using the free place option ! It lets you place the blocks anywhere you want without having to stick to the ''grid'' ! its amazing you should try it !

Bytesback: Grow up. I agree that pay-to-win is bad. There is nothing wrong with micro-transactions providing purely cosmetic items, especially when there remains free in-game methods of acquiring the same items, which is the case with Ylands. If you don't like micro-transactions, that's fine: you can freely ignore them and acquire those items in-game. They're not hurting you just for *existing* outside your own game experience. If you're not willing to buy games with micro-transactions, that's your loss: you're missing out on *a lot* of great games for no real reason.

It's the Pay-to-Win games that are the absolute worst and it seems most of those are FPS or MMO type games. Ylands appears to be similar to Minecraft. Unless that changes, I think it's mainly the builders and "hardcore" players who would be wanting to buy anything.

Build on the new Yland. Since you were fawning over the hunter theme buildings. You could make a hunters camp style build. Multiple buildings and one of the towers, etc. Keep it up Beefers!

Whatever option "Add to the house on current island and find clay, coal, and other basic resources" is, I'm for that! I want to see you try to expand on the house you found here and see what you can do. Plus, I think you should build a "factory" type place next to your newly expanded house and make as many of the machines (forges, foundries, dye thingies, etc.) as you can and make a go of it here since there seems to be a lot of resources around here. PS: I too wonder if you can tame cougars and such. They seem to be waiting a bit before they attack you so perhaps it's possible. Maybe hold out some food for them and see if they take it before you get killed.

I like the new island. Build a little town on the new island. You can build different buildings for different crafting, like the blacksmith shop, the weaver, a little cafe, etc. You have so much more room on the new island.

i think what you should do beef is actually just keep adding stuff to the ship and improving it, so it can be your mobile home. im not saying you should not build on land but the ship should be enough for you to be able to "live". this way no matter where you go you will always have your trusty ship ready to support you, maybe you could even build a port for your ship on your fav island. Also i dont know much about the building in this game, but imagine you can actually build a captains cabin in the back of the ship, you could make your room there, then get some stairs outside so you can go to the top of it, build a mast and sail and put it on top! how cool is that?! and its not everything, as i said i dont know much about the game, but imagine a forecastle, you can store stuff there as well! get a fence and another mast and sail! go crazy and fill the broadsides with canons!! just imagine, you could become the one and only captain Beef! and i hope that later on the game will actually let you access your decks and fill them with canons as well.

Awesome series, bought the game today. FYI just read a post on forums, seems that while you now respawn on the yland you die on, this does NOT include the polar regions, prob the cold will kill you before you get re-geared. Might be best not to have base on ice yland.

You should build a pier on your main island. Something you can dock your ship at and sail back and forth with your boat. That way you won't have a problem running aground.

I'd say build on the new Yland if you really feel it and it inspires you. After a few episodes of building you can hit up exploring again when the itch hits you. As stated in another comment, this would be a great game for friends to join. ;) Either way you go, I picked this up the moment it went on sale and played 16 of the first 24 hours, thank you bringing it to my attention. It really has a lot of that early Minecraft feel with all the "possibilities". GG and keep it up with the awesome content. :)

hi beef! this island is nice to build on. check behind and under books, keralis found a shotgun that way. your ship build could be more realistic, by that i mean that you could build a two story cabin thingy on the back of the ship... mutiplayer with keralis would be great too!

Hey Beef, Remember how your ship was pulling to one side because your boat you were pushing was sideways? What if you make several boats and have THEM push your ship? Make sure you open their sails.
