I feel like the unnatural audio cuts in trailers are the original audio in the final cut, but with all the dramatic gaps taken out. So it's not that they needed a new take, they're just shortening existing footage to fit the trailer in a time limit. Which is even lazier.

@@ingloriousbaxter Yeah, he was. Anyway, in this case the cuts probably were done simply to get the line out quicker, like SteamedToast says here. That's definitely not what's happening in every trailer with these audio cuts though. They're actually stitching together bits and pieces from multiple sentences in some trailers. But whatever... Adam is right... they just need to edit it better if they're gonna cut it up, or get a "trailer reading" of the line from the actor. The problem is, that requires foresight.

If I have a scene saying “sorry I’m late, I hit heavy traffic and am having a bad day” instead of editing that to cut out the middle, I would just have the actor do a clean read of “sorry I’m late, I’m having a bad day” so they can use it in the trailer

As a local (NZ) comedian put it many years ago, of course it's a long journey to deliver a ring when you start in Cambridge (upper north island/ Hobbiton), and go via Arrowtown (bottom of the south island/ the scene where the Ring Wraiths chase Galadriel to the waters edge) to get to Mt Doom (middle/ west side of the north Island/ Mt Ngauruhoe which sits near a very popular ski area). 😊 We also have some fun sayings about Jango Fett, but that's for another day.

So many things wrong with this series. The two things that irritate me the most are the awful lighting decisions (LED candles, constantly front-lighting faces and sets when it makes no sense) coupled with the made-for-Instagram hair & make up decisions. If they're going to make the sets look that bad they should know not to point the lights directly at the cheaper parts of the set. If two characters are talking outside, one of them facing the sunset and the other facing away, both characters faces should not be front-lit! This is very basic.

15:28 Ripping off another character in your own franchise has always been annoying to me. It reminds me of when I was playing KOTOR 2 and I thought Atton Rand and Kreia were just supposed to be copies of Han Solo and Obi-wan. But then they actually had big twists on their characters, and I liked them a lot. 17:35 Also, I’m pretty wary when I see a million plot lines all over the place. I watched one season of Game of Thrones and then one episode of the second season. I thought it was good, but it felt a little overwhelming that it seemed like plot lines were still going and they were adding new ones. I thought maybe I’d get back to it eventually. But then I found out I dodged a bullet because all those plots just lead to a crummy ending.

Reminds me of how when I was a kid I liked the Harry Potter books (well, I read the first 4 at least) and to me it especially seemed like the fourth movie was cramming too much in and was paced weird. And shows have more room then movies, but it’s still a common criticism for shows or movies to have something they could have cut out in them (I’m sure Adam has thrown that one out a million times). Maybe it’s more fitting for books because you can read at your own pace.
