The moment Harry yelled "He loved her!" "TRAITOR" actually hurt me. Like, how is a child supposed to understand the fact, that the own father doesn't love you and always prefers his godchild. Y/N felt neglected, so the only conclusion they made, is that Sirius must hate them, so they turned their back on him, because they felt like nothing would ever change. The moment Sirius realized that, it was already too late. Y/N was just a child and wanted love

I'm the oldest child and I have a younger sister. I'm older than her. Our parents are divorced and we live with our mom. So the fact that he loved his godson over his child-that he made- is just heartbreaking. Like, no wonder she became a death-eater. They probably offered her revenge on her father or maybe manipulated her into believing they would care for her and love her.

POV: Y/n is the result of an arranged marriage between Sirius and another pureblood witch that was set up before he officially cut ties with his family and left home for good. After Sirius was arrested, y/n’s mom decided she no longer wanted anything to do with a blood traitor and abandoned baby y/n. The Black family also had no interest in raising y/n and sent them away to an orphanage in secret. Remus checked in on y/n periodically and seemed to genuinely care about them, but he could never bring himself to formally adopt them because he thought his werewolf condition would make him an unfit parent. When Sirius escapes Azkaban, Remus tried to help y/n and Sirius form a relationship to no avail. Sirius never wanted to be a father, he never even wanted to get married. Sirius saw y/n as a living reminder of the family and life he hated and desperately wanted to leave behind. No matter how hard he tried, he could never separate y/n as a person from the miserable circumstances they were conceived in. Whereas Harry was a living reminder of Sirius’s best friend as well as the happiest times of his love and the person he wanted to be.

Actually there's a story exactly like this in fanfiction. But the child was Hermione. I think she was Marlene and Sirius child, and no one knew of her existence until walburga saw the new changes in the family tapestry, walburga and the patriarch took her back by force and tortured her muggle parents, she was mentally abused by walburga and when they decided to find a way to free Sirius, he immediately went to find for harry and neglected her. It reminds me of what they probably did to Regulus.
