Do it!!! Go on the cruise! Rework your budget spending amounts and keep your eye on the prize. We regret 100% of the opportunities that we never take

Great advice! I've already found myself questioning everything. Like, do I need this? If I don't spend it I can put it towards the cruise...😊

Becky, YNAB is all about using your money on your priorities. Doing things that bring you joy. I would create a "what do I need to do" budget to reengineer your weekly money to see how much you need to save for your trip to pay in cash. If that number is doable, even if a stretch, do it! If it's a holy cow how would I do that, save what you can and squirrel away everything you can by not spending in your regular categories. This sounds like an amazing adventure and life is about adventures. Make it happen girl! 🚢

❤️ I really need to re-do my bare bones budget (I have done one in the past but I haven't shared or updated it ever) I've already cut out a couple of things but I will be re-working my budget over the next month to make more room for savings.😊

Woo!! Another vote to go! I think this is the theme! I'm pretty much convinced to do it by now 😊 Watch out, there will be cruise talk going forward 😂

Watch you lots - rarely comment - definitely 100% go on the cruise! Try to figure out how saving for it can cause you the least hardship for the x number of months until then and don’t even second guess it. Experiences are everything!

Thank you so much for watching and for the comment 😊❤️ I've already found a couple of ways to cut out some costs but I haven't had time to really sit and re-do my budget, I'm actually excited to see what I can save in the next year!

Glad the car worked out! Gas maintenance is one of my least favorite things. Ooooo, European cruise!!! Love that for you!!!

I'm not excited about the prospect of putting more into my car maintenance but, as he ages I'm sure that's something I should do. I'm really excited about the cruise!! Maybe y'all could come too...I'm sure there will be some major movement in your loans when you post your next video ❤️😊

I'm late to the game, but I say if you can financially swing it, do the cruise.

Every time I hear "I did something" I start laughing!! 🤣🤣 lol Good for you!!! Do it!!! Have fun!!! It's not like you're budgeting our money... why should we be mad if you want to splurge on yourself!!!! 🥳🥳 I'd do the same thing and put it under my birthday category!!! 🤣🤣 Sorry about what happened to your car with that company, but yeey for working cars!!!

Do you have travel Insurance?
@TheGoodMidlifeCrisis4 ай бұрын
I know the package that I got came with travel insurance but I will be asking the travel agent about insurance when I meet with her about the flights and everything else. I definitely don't want to get stranded in an ocean, or a foreign country, with only my US health coverage 🙄

Hi Becky! Great video. I'm glad you told us about the cruise. And I think you should TOTALLY go on it. If, you are able to save and/or cashflow it. If you were to save in a sinking fund for the next 24 pays (Approximately what you would need before your cruise *I'm guessing $4500 including flights and what not, you could put aside $204.54 a pay (every 2 weeks) or $102.27 a week. If you only went out to eat once a month (including ecclesial, I know that seems like a lot, but it's only for a season and if you kept your eyes on the prize, you would be so happy and would get used to it.) and meal prepped I think you could probably shave that off of your food budget per month. Also $50 off of fun and self care (combined) would still leave you with quite a bit. $40 off of coffee per month would be enough for you to have one coffee a week. and shave $5 a month off of household. That would allow you to sock away $409 a month without adding anything else to your budget. Just a thought. When I set out to save for something, I make it fun. I play savings challenges and make trackers. You could start a whole new video series of SAVING FOR MY CRUISE or "Saving for Cruise 45". Maybe a portion of your YT earnings could go towards it. You have 10 months, girlie! I'd love to see you fund this all with PURE savings hustle! 🙂 Great video. Bummer about your car! Mechanics can be jerks, sometimes! Have a wonderful weekend and week ahead.

Yay! Thank you 😊 I'm going to save as much as I can to cash flow but, realistically, I'm pretty sure at least part of it will have to go on a no interest card. That's the part that's giving me hang ups but I do think I've decided to go for it! Who knows, maybe I'll surprise myself and be able to do all of it cash flow! My goal is to have at least the trip itself paid off before I go (including flights) and then set a realistic budget for expenses while I'm there. We'll see, a lot can happen in a year!

Good honest mechanics are so hard to find! Go on the cruise!! 🛥💙💙

Lol, thankfully I don't have to deal with them too much but I'm sure that will change as my car ages. He's got over 100,000 miles now so I need to take care of him. And thank you!! That seems to be the consensus and, since it's what I want anyway I think I will 😉
