I love how the user made an ideal budget and then backtracked into how much she needed to earn (not to mention, made it happen). What a great inspiration and thought experiment!

Yes! That was one of my favorites. I love the experimentation. I also must admit, I misgendered Ali. "She" was a "He." Sorry, Ali! ~BenB

This is such a great idea. This made me think I could do a similar type of budget to see how little I could work when we have kids and what types of income level could we survive and thrive on. Houses are expensive in our city in NZ and it's hard to imagine surviving on less. People do it every day though so there must be something out there. YNAB idea - Cooking with Ben & Ernie. Ernie mentioned he had some go to recipes for when the budget is TOOOIGHT at the end of the month. Would love to hear what they are :)

Love the wins episodes! Someone said on the fan Facebook page to remember that we're the ones making our goals happen, not YNAB. But YNAB sure does help A LOT! It's helped me completely change how I think about money and money management. We are reaching our goals faster because we have to be more intentional about where our dollars go.

Wow, 19:47 put a smile on my face. And what an excellent insight -- using your budget to actually know what's your necessary salary. 🧠

It’s so true that listening/watching to YNAB episodes keeps you “in the game”. The daily input helps keep me focused. The YNAB wins keep me motivated. The humor (I’m looking at you Hanna) keeps me entertained. The App is a game changer, but all the additional supports make it all sustainable. Well done YNAB!

Everyone needs to listen to budget nerds regardless of YNAB use. The outlook of purchasing something just because you want it, as long as you have the money for it, is something a lot of people need to hear.

Love you guys!!! YNAB win being able to pay for a hip replacement and also supplement my income during my time off. I have always had my finances separate from my husband. 5 years ago I needed an MRI which cost $100 which I couldn't afford and needed my husband to help me out. Now I was able to cover this HUGE expense on my own because of YNAB and I am not stressed over money ❤ Thank you all!!!!

Love the reality here but also the humour . Bought my third year of YNAB in January . Convinced it has turned our finances around . I am in a completely different positive place to where I was three years ago and it is totally due to YNAB . Thank you all

You guys just gave me a great idea. Future-You-Thank-You notes. When you have that win..get a thank you note. Maybe with a gift inside like audio book credit, or take an extra long bath or movie night or taco salad from your favorite restaurant. Just a little love from you to you.

I am loving YNAB. I've had it for a few months and I'm noticing how much I'm spending... I feel so lucky, I'm young, work full time and go to school full time and have no rent! (Thank you family) I'm saving as much as I can and having fun doing it. I get more joy out of putting my money in categories than spending it- though I do spend when I reach my small "Fun Money" Goals! Love the podcast, I've listened to them all now.... thank you guys!

I am one of those "matchy matchy" folks. I have been using YNAB since November 2012. And I am still "matchy matchy". I would LIKE to change that. Would you consider doing an episode that would address HOW exactly to make that switch. I don't feel like I have a LOT of accounts. I have an online HYSA and online checking account and a small local checking account. But.....I need help with the process of making sure that I won't overdraw my checking account. Any advice or articles or a podcast, etc. would be so wonderful. Thank you.

What happened to targets this week in the app 😱. Or rather the progress bars for them. They no longer show the entire goal
@YNABofficial4 ай бұрын
We made targets simpler but the functionality you're use to has not changed. With progress bars, it's now easier to tell when funds in a category are (or aren’t) counting towards target progress, and they contain an extra section on the left representing money that rolled over from the previous month. Hope that helps! ~Ernie
