That was one of the cleanest Live performance i heard from the Maestro from a long time. It seems the confinement and studio work benefits his playing and got it back to his "neo classical godlevel". Parabellum is a furious album it is hard to believe this is a 58 years old recording !

You're forgetting the #1 rule. There's no way like the yng-way. U gotta develop ur own style and be urself and do what works for u. Once u do that you will find yourself improving more. Just take the core concepts of what he does and apply it in your own way. Focus and concentrate. I feel ur pain tho brother.

Legendarni Malmsteen u Kragujevcu na Arsenal Fest-u je pokazao da je u samom vrhu gitarskih vitruoza sveta. Svakako je jedan od najboljih svetskih insteumentalista koji traje na sceni preko 30 godina. Respekt Yngwie!!!

The real reason why he has so many marshal heads up on stage is that, at some stage during the show, they do a raffle to guess which amp he’s actually using.

This is musical memory from my late brother, I was taught how to play the basic keyboard, I could play guitar, so to play Far Beyond the Sun, I was trained to play the keyboard position 🎹 If I couldn't, I would hit my fingers 😅 That's when I got to know Yngwie Malmsteen, a legendary guitar player 🎸 and I'm a fan to this day of Rising Force too🤟🤟🤟

Yngwie would benefit so much with playing with a 'real' band (no offence to those guys) having a good and maybe known singer would help so much, and if he would share the stage aswell. Seriously it's hard looking at those guys in the background, seems like they don't really want to be there. Having a band like the live in leningrad would be so much better. At this point just let all the band go full out 80s outfit with leather and spandex, nobody would care and that would be awesome
@johnp.johnson15412 жыл бұрын
It is super hard to turn a profit these days in touring even for long ago acts. It would surprise if these musicians were paid more than $1,000 each a show.
@efwfew2 жыл бұрын
@@johnp.johnson1541 I imagine yea. Nothing wrong with the way those guys plays from the video i've seen, there's just a huge contrast between yngwie looking like he just timewalk from the 80s and the rest that are on the side looking like they're going to a bbq on a sunday. The drums not being in the middle of the stage is a sin in my opinion lol
@johnp.johnson15412 жыл бұрын
@@efwfew Yes, you are right. The the optics are not good. It gives the appearance that Yngwie considers them not integral to sound experience of the listener. The economics have changed much since the 1980s. Yngwie likely made fairly decent income early on in his career and with ease, but like many, he was ripped off. It is much harder to profit these days. Yngwie is lucky he made a name for himself back in the hey days of the rock LP records / radio / concert venue business. Likely, he is trying to max his haul of the revenue he earns. I would be surprised on a 20-city USA tour that he grosses more than $400k. At $1,000 a band member, that leaves $340,000. After transport, lodging and other expenses, likely he is pocketing around $250,000, maybe a bit more. Of course, from a different view, Yngwie sees himself differently than a mere rock act. He sees himself a composer who hires people to bring his work to life. No doubt his music would be different if he had musicians who were writing their own parts around a melody presented by one of them, which is typical of most rock acts. I would like to hear what it would sound like if he worked on a collaboration project at this stage of his life. Alcatrazz might have been the closest to such though likely he still wrote the bass parts.
@VNeto942 жыл бұрын
@@johnp.johnson1541 yet, if he hired a couple of famous names just for TOURING, he could bring much more people to his gigs. Or he could hire NEW TALENTS who wouldn't cost as much and could be interested in associating their names with his.
@johnp.johnson15412 жыл бұрын
@@VNeto94 That is possible. There is the risk that does not happen. Maybe he is too cautious. Sure, I would like to hear better musicians playing with him. He could dial back some of his extended soloing to add in a few more songs as well. In that way, less would be more. You know with Yngwie though, more is more. I take him as he is rather than as I would be if I were him.

@@dreamdiction You're quite the idiot, people ARE there to see him. Who gives a shit about 4 guys you've never even heard bout that backs him ? There's no longer any "well known" musicians in his backing band because in all likelihood he can no longer afford them. Playing smaller venues doesn't pay much, regardless of that there's basically been no live shows during the pandemic.

Yngwie practices hours a day, he is hitting every single note, there is no sloppiness, you are all jealous, trying to bring a great man down..or just trying to create the narrative about fat = lazy. He runs through the entire show beforehand, he lives for this stuff. Problem with sitting down for hours is you get a bit middle aged spread, unless you go jogging three times a day like vai.
@JuiceboxJrr. Жыл бұрын
Yeah there is sloppiness but it doesn't take away from the amazing performance. It is just product of inprovising most of the solos nowadays. I never thought sloppy playing took away from a song. We are people after all and nobody is perfect. As long as the important notes come out, I can jam. I love Yngwie and he is my guitar Idol, i don't care how many haters he has.
