He is one of the best players to have ever lived. Like his music or not, his technique and skills are next to none. He`s so precise and fast it`s mind boggling.

You remember by a chain of associations, so yes it sets in the muscle memory. But Yngwie almost never plays the exact version, he likes to improvise, which of course makes it even harder since you can't rely as much on the musle memory.
