Yokai watch in the west had the same unfortunate fate as other monster collectors outside of pokemon, didn't help much thanks to Journalists claiming it to be a killer and Nintendo's horrible marketing.

Its really unfortunate how blasters T, boxing aura, and forbidden fruit completely demolish all of this in ykw3, but this is a really good video. Yokai watch seems like the only series where people actually trade one monster for another, rather than just looking for version exclusives.

The general consensus was that they hated it because it was inconvenient to their biological clocks, work and sleep schedules and just an unneeded drain on an already draining work life. Yeah and the color schemes for them are really good too regardless of their more in-depth differences.

I always thought the great thing about yokai watch is how everyone ends up with different teams because of how rare and random some yokai are to obtain. The other great thing is recolours, at first glance they're just lazy designs but when you think about it, seeing a rarer and cooler colour version of a yokai you have makes you want to go out your way to get it, kind of ironic since yokai watch has a bigger incentive to catch them all as you're rewarded with power, pokemon on the other hand, nope you can just solo the game with your starter...

Hey, the good news is that Level-5, the creators of Yo-kai Watch, have officially made a comeback in American with their latest Professor Layton game. So, if we support the games they localize, we can get more Yo-kai Watch games localized as well.

one thing, in Yo-kai watch 1, when yoh change your systems clock, you will get the warning from Gargaros, but it doesn't do anything, but from Yo-kai watch 2 and onwards you do get punished for changing the time

Nah, it does increase terror time chances somewhat in the first game but the game is quite forgiving the first few times

I think the crank exclusives are pretty worthless. Any player can just use special and 5 star coins to easily get the best ones. This was fixed in busters because of there still being a plausible chance of getting something bad from special and 5 star coins and the auto save, but they added great and boost coins which also undervalue the crank exclusives

Sadly people think it a pokemon clone which leads it into it downfall. And ywk 3 did really bad this gams is American theme and not Japanese theme wich a lot of jprpg do.

There are some yokais that look like the same. One but have a slightly little change of color and they are like super rare, but i dont mean the ones like with different colors and abilities, i mean like ones with the same color and abilities but with a slight recolor.

So, is Orox just a better version of Sabri ? or does both have their own niche despite one being S rank and the other A rank ? If I'm not wrong, their english names are....Gleam and Sheen

It depends on the teambuild. Sheen is easier to fit on teams cuz of his A Rank as opposed to Gleam's S Rank but there are alot of good Brave A and S Ranks they have to compete with. It also helps that Gleam resists Lightning hazards while Sheen is unfirtunately weak to Ice hazards.

@@DrCoeloCephalo OMS... Why did developers make version exclusives if there was going to a third version that combined the two... That's like if Emerald had you transfer data from Ruby or Sapphire just to get one mon that you really wanted... I know it would be to sell more copies of the different versions but if you're going to make one that combines the two, why not just have everything opened? But I guess that's just a stupid question.

I plan to cover all the free DLC in a seperate video. They improved that aspect alot in 3 after getting rid of version exclusivity.
