When I first heard this song, I saw the FB video first... I saw in the comments that the original was by Jhamiel so I came to this video on YT and I could immediately tell the difference. Jhamiel has the story in his eyes and the passion in his voice... Both were good but I can definitely tell which one is the original version versus which one is a cover.

Great song, but whoever is managing this man is doing it wrong. There's already another guy who covered this song in a snippet and is getting waaaay more (free) promo for it than the original. Bobby Valentino already contacted him. What makes matters worse is that not only does this song not have a name, you can't find it legitimately recorded ANYWHERE. I mean if they can post it to KZbin, then they could post it to their Soundcloud. And when you do go to their Soundcloud, the sound and style that people liked when they seen this video is nowhere to be found in Jhamiel's actual recordings. He needs to also take it as a sign that THIS style is what the people want to hear and support and add a whole album of soulful, reflective "life stories" like this. Drake does it, Kendrick does it, Kanye does it, so Jhamiel can do it too with his own spin on things. Jhamiel is great, but he NEEDS to handle his business if he wants to actually succeed. He's already an Anthony Hamilton/Lyfe Jennings type of singer who's competing with a Bryson Tiller type singer - the gap in audiences of those two sounds right there shows he's already is fighting an uphill battle just to be seen as relevant to the culture/radio right now. If "I" were Jhamiel, I would make an official version of the song - with an official title, and post it everywhere on social media. (Especially before bigger artists steal the lyrics, sound, and concept.) And I'd sing it with the soul and lived pain his version clearly brings to it. We've already heard it, we just need to hear it again through a proper presentation. And that includes a decent visual of the person singing it too. Oh, and pick a beat that's flames! This is THE single that'll get him noticed and probably some actual airplay. I'd probably get a media student (or 2) in college to direct a decent visual for it (FL has MANY super talented media students) and post it everywhere and find a way to monetize the views. I wish Jhamiel luck. This video's been out almost 2 years already and now someone else saw the diamond in the rough and polished it off and is now likely cashing in on it.
