Sorry for a long comment here. I feel like people are overlooking the actual product or pretending that you're paying 80 dollars for cardboard. You're not paying for cardboard, you're paying for a video game that came with cardboard and rubber bands to make accessory controllers. You didn't even need the cardboard if you want to split hairs over it, Nintendo put blueprints for all of the sets on their website if you really wanted to use your own cardboard and rubber bands. Was "Nintendo has the audacity to sell you CARDBOARD (as an accessory for a video game to make a variety of controllers (you can use your own cardboard if you want or buy the game second hand))" not as catchy for people's headlines? I just don't understand how smug (not you specifically) people became over bitching about Labo's mere existence when Nintendo does actual heinous shit on a daily basis that isn't making a a construction toy with software for children, which is what it actually is.

Yeah I kinda figured. I still do think it's crazy that these games would probably be full price without all the cardboard and materials. I never heard of labo so I didn't even know there was hate around it. Nintendo does get alot of hate from what I see though like the palworld stuff, taking down Rom sites and projects, not offering their back catalog anywhere etc.

@@RealTrueKingsDenoh yeah, for sure! Games pricing in general has accounted for inflation (as something around 50 USD in 1995, around the PS1 era would cost a little over $100 today), but seeing that number bump up from 60 to 70 still doesn't feel good, haha. As to the second part of your comment, it's...yeah. I love Nintendo games but it's frustrating to see how they operate as a company, so it's very fair to criticize them. Thanks for responding! :]

Nintendo LOW for marking a cardboard controller knowing kids break hard plastic when they lose. Its a manipulative, magnifying product sells genius 😂😢
