This man played ALL of Bach's Cello suites in Millennium Park in Chicago a few years back for FREE for ALL who would come. Needless to say, the ENTIRE LAWN was packed to standing room only. It was such a gift to our city from such a generous artist. Thank you Mr. Ma

I saw YoYo Ma in Toronto about twenty five years ago. I was at a Dental Convention. All my colleagues wanted to see the performance of the Lion King. I went alone to see YoYO Ma. I think it was called a Presidential Concert. It was an incredible experience for me. That, plus seeing Luciano Pavarotti in Concert remains life defining moments.

I saw Yo- Yo Ma in concert at Tanglewood, in Springfield , MA. What an absolute treat . I went with my husband. We brought a picnic lunch & enjoyed the music. Back in those days, this was a free concert. He was part of a trio with Emanuel Ax & a violinist whose name escapes me. Eileen

Every note, inflection, complement to Ms Stott’s gorgeous and sensitive piano accompaniment only enhanced the power of this song. Yo Yo Ma is a world treasure. I cannot listen to this without thinking of the great Paul Robeson. I like to think that Mr. Ma had him in mind as he opened his performance in Mr. Robeson's low register. We should also not fail to acknowledge Ms. Scott's contribution to this thrilling performance of an American classic. Bravo!
