Your math on Champs having 10,000 ppl is wrong because live player count isn't "active" player count. There could be 10 million players who all log in at different times and keeps the player count at around 200,000 live count. Anyways just felt like saying that, so being Champ is still prestigious. Albeit I hear a lot of old Champs say Champs no a days are far worse so idk. I'm only Gold 3.
