Honestly, I agree that Kennedy grabbed the glove but anyone with fight experience can tell you he was going for a wrist grab so that yoel couldnt block and in the heat of the moment the only thing he managed to grab was the glove. On the other side though, 30 extra seconds on the stool CLEARLY had Kennedy thinking the fight was over, thus not recovering or even being ready when the 3rd actually started.

The Kennedy fight was Big John's fault, which he's admitted, as he told Yoel to stay seated because the UFC cutman had applied too much vaseline and it had to be removed. Due to confusion at the door, the fight was instead continued. This was also confirmed by Joe Rogan in the start of his Tim Kennedy podcast. Don't forget about the time he punched Derek Brunson in the dick. Anyway, what sucks about the "punishment" Yoel got for grabbing the fence against Jacare is that the ref stood them back up. That wasn't a punishment. That was exactly what Yoel NEEDED. Jacare was visibly upset when the ref intervened, because he had been desperately trying to bring the fight to the ground for the entire match, and that was taken away from him. If anything, they should have restarted the fight with Jacare on top, because Jacare's successful takedown attempt was botched by Yoel's cheating, and thus they should have simply granted Jacare what he had already earned. Even if the ref did nothing, Jacare would have benefited, because from his back he'd still have an advantage over Yoel. But as always, Yoel's cheating, and the resulting punishment, only served to help the cheater.

Any take down could be the end of a fight. Grabbing the fence to prevent one should be an automatic 2 point loss and restart the right on the ground with that fighter on the bottom. No warnings. Im tired of seeing warnings in boxing and mma when the damage is already done. Only these sports do that shit. In every other sport if you break the rules there is instant punishment. In these sports where its more important they don't even enforce it. I don't get it. The fighters know the rules, they've known then their whole careers. They are told them before the fights, there should be no warnings!! People actually defend him😂 I just saw a comment saying sitting on the stool that extra bit doesn't help him win fights, or holding the cage isn't that bad. Most fighters never grab onto the cage and on the odd occasion it happens it out of instict because of a takedown and they quickly let go, Yoel gripped on to it until he had a better position for himself. And almost no other fighters pour water over themselves, use too much Vaseline or sit on the stool for any longer than they are allowed.
