When he signed his first MLB contract with the Oakland Athletics, and then proceeded to play great baseball and hit some mighty homeruns, he became my favorite player. I bought one of his jerseys and the A's then traded him to Boston. From there to Detroit, then on to the NY Mets where I've followed him ever since. A truly gifted athlete, hope he will play again in 2019 after coming back from surgery on both his heels!!!!!

@@danielibarra2404 I will have to disagree with you there, he got them to the WC game in 2016 so it wasn't just 1 year. I was not expecting him back this year anyway, they win when he is on the field. That's just a fact
@danielibarra24045 жыл бұрын
Mike D I’m sorry Mike I disagree. Basically he was out from 2nd half of 2017, all (save for a few games) in 2018, all of 2019. So that’s 2 and half seasons on the DL. Hopefully he’s back by May-June 2020. All we can ask for is a two month audition to showcase him for a trade by July 2020 deadline as he and everyone knows the Mets won’t even think about re-signing him for 2021. Good riddance to this guy
@mikedee7185 жыл бұрын

Mike D Yes but does it matter now? Guarantee if (that’s the operative word) he comes back he’ll have forgotten how to swing the bat. You are headed for a surprise if you think he’s hitting 30 homers ever again. It’s over, hopefully they get 2 months out of him to showcase a trade
