Oh my God at last, a video that actually shows a GREAT variation to this pose! This is probably the 15th video that I've watched and yours is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!!!

The tip to protact the bottom arm and retract the upper arm was helpful to achieving better rotation and attainment of that pose. Thanks!

Hi Cecily omg really great tips! I tried pulling my feeting toward each other while folding/extending forward. It feels better but I don't understand how! How is contracting my hamstring making it easier to stretch it at the same time?? Would love an explanation from you

While you are in the pose is the knee still softened? Also is the back foot point forward or do you leave it at 45 degrees like with regular triangle?

Love this and all the videos! One question here -- when doing the pelvic tilt forward and back to stand with the block between the legs and one foot lifted -- I find it very hard not to lock the knee of the standing leg. It feels uncomfortable. Any cues for that, aside from just bringing a small bend into the knee?

Hi Marianne - yes, if it feels uncomfortable to lock the knee it's likely because the range of motion here feels less protected, so your body is sending out some pain signals. Small bend will allow for more hamstring engagement in the back of the knee and will likely make it feel better :)
